Here is a post I made to one of my good friends from Athens and it keeps getting deleted for some reason.

Southpaw,
I am looking to put a table in my yard and recover it. I have a new diamond and I would like to recover it in indoor/outdoor carpet or perhaps astroturf. The problem I keep having is that my backyard is on a flood plane and the legs keep sinking causing the table to roll off a tad. Can you please get me a quote on how much it will cost to recover and fix this problem? Also, I need a light to hang from an oak tree that is leaning over the table.

I think some of you should get a goddamn sense of humor and stop taking things so serious. I see nothing wrong with this post what so ever. To those of you that didnt like this post- blow me!

I have absolutely no idea. It did no harm to anyone and was a humorous post to one of my friends who does work on tables. This ridiculous school girl monitoring is getting out of control.

we talk to each other almost daily. He knows its a joke. Its the rest of the clowns on here that are having the problems. The moron that started the thread sent me a pm stating not to post on HIS thread. lol, I guess this isnt a public forum to him.

Hey Baby's Arm-
Here's the deal! There are a bunch of tightbutts (not my first choice of words) on this site that think certain things are too offensive for the rest of us to read. There are also some whiners out there that go crying to these tightbutts (kind of annoying, isn't it) every time they get upset.

So, here are what I gather to be the rules these days: you have to make sure that what you post is neither rude, disrespectful, opinionated, non-factual, unpopular, humorous (unless suitable for a 5 year old), sarcastic,..... I could keep going.
You see, the logic, as it was explained to me by a moderator who shall remain nameless (but if you go to the main forum, he started the thread at the top of the list ;) ), is simple. Be nice all the time and if you say or do anything that he disagrees with, he'll ban you. Why, you ask? Well, so did I. And all he could respond with was "Because I'm a moderator and I can."
You can't beat that logic, right?
You see Baby's Arm, there is a very tight knit group of people on this forum and they watch out for one another. So when a certain one-pocket playin' Florida native who spews senseless garbage on these forums and acts like an expert and illicits a negative reaction from the scrores of people he has angered, he cries like a baby to a mod. That mod, who for one reason or another makes me think of Dennis the Menace ;) ;) then issues a blanket statement! "I am a Moderator! I'll do what I want! No one question me! Just be nice!"
So really, you can't win. You can only hope to work the system and annoy people along the way until they ban you. Thats what I do. But then again, I still have three strikes coming to me first.

I agree with most of that. Although, my post wasn't offensive in ANY way. It didn't demean anyone or any group of people and wasn't harmful in any way. It was purely a humorous post and wasn't even adult humor. My friend Dave works on pool tables and he posted about recovering one with simonis. I replied to him with a humorous post. I got 3 pm's from Iacas about HIJACKING, lol, his thread. What a goddamn baby.

That's why it got deletet. He also cried to some mod in a PM and they removed your post to appease him/her.

Imagine if we had moderators in our favorite pool rooms :eek:

Well hell Baby's Arm, I see the problem right there in your post. You mentioned that dreaded word, W-O-R-K. You can't do that dude, read the forum rules, no vulgar language.:D

there's hijacking and there's threads that evolve.
mods should have at least given you a reason.

Maybe before we post we have to run the post by the moderators for their authorization, that way they wont delete it in the future !!!!!!! ADULT forum ? i think not..................:D

There isn't any such post shown as deleted, much less "keeps getting deleted".

lol, ok clown, I guess I just dreamt the entire thing since I posted the exact same thing 7 times and it got deleted every time. I guess all of the private messages in my box from Iacas telling me to stop posting in HIS thread are also a farce. Since I started THIS thread, I guess I could be justified under this gorilla moderator logic, in saying for you to stop posting in my thread!

When a mod deletes one it doesn't show up in the list anymore. At least they didn't used to.

Nope, & there's not a test msg showing up in your posts page either. Any post of mine that's been deleted doesn't show up when doing a search of my posts. Like Guru, I was wondering what you were talking about when you said that a deleted post shows up when you do a search. Or did we read it incorrectly? :confused:
 
Timberly, I can see them.

Very clearly. The message body is there and I can access the deleted messgae as well.

There have been instances in the past where the software was acting up after upgrades and such where posts we not sticking. He is saying that he posted it 7 times and it was deleted.

I only looked at the past several days of his posts and there were none showing "deleted".

Regardless of whatever squabbles he is having with Eric, I see no posts missing.
