Six balls on the break in 9 Ball (Barbox).

Last night I stepped out to go to the corner store. As I was walking back to my building my friend Sam was standing outside the pub and he asked me if I wanted to play a quick game or two of nine ball on the bar table. I agreed and went in and ordered an O'Douls (I can only drink N/A beer) while he racked. I picked up a house cue, checked the rack to make sure it was tight, and broke. Then it happened! I made six balls on the break, parked the cue ball dead center on the table, and had a three ball run that a blind guy couldn't screw up!

Before last night I had made as many as five on the break using one or the other of my break cues (w/ phenolic tips). I didn't really try wailing the one ball for a power break and yet I put six down! My friend kept saying "holy sh*t!* and shaking his head. LOL, don't ya just love it when things like this happen?

Congratulations on a great break.

Seems like whenever I make more than 4 balls I'm hooked 6 ways to Sunday.

I belive everything about this story but the O'Dules. Really?

Yeah it sucks, but I have liver disease (Cirrhosis and Hepatitis C). I've already gone thru four episodes of serious esophageal variceal hemorrhaging.

No alcohol for me if I want to stay out of ICU. :(

Nice break ... I took down five on the break and if you can believe it was hooked. Always exciting though

I've made six balls on the break playing nine ball a total of four times. Each time I did it, I was playing in a pro event with my opponent at or near the hill and every stinking time I did it, I was unmercifully hooked in prison without a prayer of a shot or a possible push-out without giving the other player a hanger of a three ball out. I lost all four games. :frown:I'll settle for one ball on the snap and eyes on the next one.

Congratulations on that break; It's a pretty rare one. There is a video of Alex Pagulayan doing this on youtube. I have done it once myself.

> One year in Memphis at the Super Bowl tournament,Cliff Joyner made 7 balls on the break, and was left this. All he could do really was push to A and hope his opponent,Danny Cook, didn't make the bank on the 7. Cliff was leading 6-3 in a race to 7. Danny makes the bank and runs out the set. Tommy D.

One of these days I will do that. My best is four. Today I made 3 about 50% of the time. One rack I was pretty proud of running was this one

CueTable Help

I could only remember the opening three shots, but I cross side banked the 1 into the 7 with enough speed to make the one, the 2/4 combo and the two. I then came up waaay short on the three where I banked it in the side and ran out easy going the rest of the way.

That still is no 6 ball break, but it made me happy. Man I haven't even had a 6 ball break in 8/15 ball. Like I said one of these days I will do it.
