Thanks for asking Frank. I was one of the millions of evacuees. I have never experienced more of a surreal event. You the fear and desperation on peoples faces. It took me 12 hours to go 90 miles:mad: But that is nothing compared to some people. I had a friend that drove to Dallas, it is usually a 4 hour trip at worst, it took him 29 hours:confused: We could have stayed, but when you have a family to think about you do not second guess those kinds of decisions. I would evacuate tomorrow in a heartbeat if a similar storm was headed on the same path.
Once again thanks for asking Frank. How are things going with you?
Auburn had its run last year. It is time for the TIDE TO ROLL. Hopefully we can make it 13 NCAA football championships.

For you trivia buffs.................Who has the most NCAA football championships in the history of the NCAA?:D :D :D

Its a Pachyderms favorite question. Alabama is the answer in a sort of
correct way. There has never been a national champion in football in the NCAA D1 ranks is the technical answer. The NCAA does not acknowledge the
polls or computer systems.
Alabama has 12 had 12 years that someone or some computer ranked them
Number 1 in the nation. Several if not most are correct or honorable. Others
are tough to count.
They had a decent team this year and are trying to go undefeated but the problem is that even if they do they CAN NOT be the national champs unless they just CLAIM it.
USC, Texas, and VA Tech would all have to lose to have Alabama move to the BCS National Championship game.

The NCAA D1 championship is a joke. There needs to be a playoff so teams
like Alabama or perhaps even Texas Tech can have a chance. Now it matters
too much where you start in the Polls/computers and how much love the media shows.

Sizl,

I felt bad for Protho. Shula made a mistake playing him and Croyle that
late in the game.
I heard yesterday that Protho is still not out of the woods by a long stretch and is fighting not to lose his foot. It became infection and it was a terrible
injury.

Picture below........ bad injury picture ..
Not pretty to look at...................

Damn you got a good education at Auburn. Yes a fan of "Big Al" would ask that question quite often! LMAO

Sounds like a statement that would come from a fan of a certain football team that got SCREWED out of at least half of a National Championship. ;) :D

See how screwed up that sounds?........... "half of a National Championship"
I totally agree with you Frank, the "powers that be" in the NCAA needs to drop all of the political bullshit and come up with a system to come up with a bonafide champion each year. They keep making excuses such as the playoff games taking away from the bowl games(and we know how much money the sponsors pay for THEIR bowl game) as well as clashing with exams. In this age of thinking outside of the box, you can't tell me that their is not an alternative schedule to make the playoffs happen. Until then the NCAA football championship is a FARCE. IMHO (except the 12 that the TIDE own) :D :D :D

That sucked! He is one of those players that can take over and change a game all by his self. I hope he recovers as well as making it back to football, because that kid has a BRIGHT future IF he recovers.

And you are right, that picture is hard to look at. :o :o

How is your pool game?<<<<< for all of you forum detectives out there :p

I just heard an update on Protho. He had two more procedures today.
I wish the kid the best. I really loved how Coach Shula denied the
fact that it was infected. I dont know why that was a big deal with him. It happens with injuries.

Gad to know that you made it through alright. My father was in the Caymans
last year when Ivan ( i think) leveled it. He stayed figuring it would not be bad. He said if the decision ever comes up again he will not hesitiate to leave. We did not have any contact with him for a few days. I was about to
go crazy when I finally got word that he was okay. He and a couple other guys sat it out in his apartment. They were in the dark in almost two feet of water. He said once the storm turned towards then directly it was too late to evac. They had shut down the airport.

BTW-- Did you play in the last Houston event??

I have not been playing as much as I would like. I have been busy with work and a couple of side projects I have going on. How about you, you playing any trnys?

Roll Damn Tide....!!!

Yep, it will be tough for them to grab a National Title even if they make it through undefeated. They still have some tough matches to play ahead of them. The loss of Prothro on a meaningless play is tough to swallow. He was such a charge to the offense and so, so explosive. No one has been able to step up to the fore front and replace him...at least not yet. We will see what we will see......Oh!! Did I mention...

Roll Damn Tide!!!

Look for Darby not Croyle to be the most important person on Bamas team.
The DL of TN is very very good. If Darby can keep churning it will
give Croyle a little time. He also needs to stay healthy. UA's problem is not
talent but is depth. Probation took the OL depth totally away.
Croyle has to stay healthy.
Protho getting hurt on a meaning less play had to be tough to swallow. However Coach Shula did the same damn thing last year with Croyle. He has to stop doing that if he expects to play a full SEC season and win.

Hey is he a contortionist? Wow what a break! That picture is horrific and I feel awful for him. That sure gives a new meaning to getting the break!

Great picture of Shula and the Bear, Sizl. In fact, I stole it. Glad to hear you are safe. Bill Stack came up from Slidell and stayed during Katrina. He was very lucky. Slidell was in the eye and yet his house was one of the very few with virtually no damage. In fact, we had more damage to our house than he did. Three trees hit our house and we were 200mi. inland. Katrina was a bad girl for sure.
