SJM at the World 14.1 Event

Well, you never know. But from all of Shane's mistakes this past match, I'd have to bet on the other guy. After quite a few mistakes in his semi-final, Appleton did run 107 near the end.

I just checked the forums: 14.1, Action Room and Main. Not much action going on. What little there is - no one is offering points on the wire.

After the quarterfinal matches were finished, I had a feeling it would be these two in the finals. Wanted to Stalev make it, but maybe next year.

Two racks down. 28 - 0. Sharp cut for the break shot coming up.

and he overcut it.

One rack for DA, with good position for the break

28 - 14 SVB

and he busted them to smithereens

smoothly cleared rack for DA

28 - 28 with perfect side-of-the-rack break position.

And they were smithereened again.:)

Had to manufacture a break ball that time, but succeeded. Three racks down.

42 -28 DA

-----------------------------

Good results on the break, but still 9 balls near the foot spot.

Some touchy work around the rack, but he did well and got out of the rack with a good (though quite steep) break position for another sotr break ball.

56 - 28 DA

--------------------------

good break results

Darren looking really good with his position now.

70 -28, and perfect s-o-t-r break position again

--------------------------

He blasted them and SCRATCHED at the top!

And SVB then scratched on his first shot:eek:

That may have been a wedding present. I think DA is getting married 1 week from today.

That's a goodie

Had to manufacture a break ball that time, but succeeded. Three racks down.

42 -28 DA

After the last days with NO final scores I've lost interest - cause they haven't been able to post just final scores for each match on the official website.

Only the day after...

Very disappointing!

And now that:
Thank to "AtLarge" for coming with scores for EACH rack!
Thank you man, thank you very much! That's so great - can't watch, but now my interest in this is growing and I get a little bit sweaty palms...

Please keep on - I think we all appreciate that!

:happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

Full rack for DA. 83 - 27 DA now. And good position for another s-o-t-r break shot, but this time from Darren's left side of the rack, whereas the last few were from his right side of the rack.

DA on time out (but very brief -- he's back)

DA through another rack successfully. Break ball is to his right side of the rack again.

97 - 27

-------------------------

may have only one shot after the break

That rack took a lot of work. Some nice secondary breaks.

111 - 27 DA

And we have another right-side-of-rack break shot coming up, with quite a steep angle.

----------------------------

He made the break shot, but got stuck in the middle of the balls. Has a shot, though.
