Sky Woodward runs 10 pack

You people (most), are unbelivable. How many of u world beaters can beat the ghost
10-0? Bar table Diamond, ball in hand after break, 10-0 ? Y'all line up to play, against my C-note per try. I go to the bank tomorrow with more cash than they'll let me deposit. He's a 21 (+-) year old phenom that just completed a phenom's feat. Yes magic rack, yea soft break, and yea a shot on the one. Big flippin deal. 128 players, year after year, world beaters included. Nobody else has done it! Give the kid credit where credit is due.
I hope they never use the Magic Rack again. I hate it. There should be in no way a designed break that a ball automatically is made. It takes away from the game. Nevertheless, well done Sky Woodward.....

Ive beat it 10 - 1 on a valley, regular rack. Started bs'ing with the owner on the 7 ball in one of the late racks and hung it up lol

I have been corrected. It looked like he was pattern racking the whole rack, but It was said he only cares about the 2 being on the back.

I was at the Mini last night when he ran the first 10. I watched every rack. During that match he was not pattern racking except for the 2 in back. They all did that. I didn't watch today's so i can't comment on those

How many of you champs are running a 10 pack? Jeez
Jason
I agree with you. To emulate and run out 10 racks in a row is very impressive. People saying the older equipment was tough. Well the pockets were buckets ,most matches I've ever watched on YouTube. Diamonds are tough tables and I give him all the credit in the world .

I agree. He got a fairly bad roll in his 2nd 10 pack to not run the whole set.

The people making the rack or company is called Outsville ......Lol ! Provider or whatever.....I was in the room and when they said it I was wondering how good they were ....Got my answer quick ! Something has to change .......I'm not a nit .... I'm not donating to a plastic rack again tho! Y'all try it time after time !

All you have to do to see the difference between today's pool being played with all the rack aids and rules....is go back and watch matches being played before all this shit got added to the game of pool being played today....big difference!!!

I agree. Watching videos from say the 80's, the quality of play is VASTLY lower. The game simply was not as developed. Position play was far loser, safety play was what you would expect from a B player today, kicking was indiscriminate, and the break was hit and hope. Like all things, people evolve. I personally am glad for that.

You can even compare a single player. Watch the Efren of say 1990 compared to the Efren of 2000. The later Efren could give weight to the previous Efren.

The same is true for really any sport or game. A great example would be hockey. For the most part, the stick, puck, and other equipment are very similar even going way back. Skates have advanced some, and the goalie equipment is far superior now. But just watch the level of play now...the speed, strategy, everything. No offense to the players of that time, but a team from like the 70's or 80's would be demolished by even a bottom rung NHL team of this decade.

I see this as a good thing. My guess is that nostalgia will prevent many from accepting this obvious reality.

The equipment evolving is one thing, but today's players wouldn't be doing as well back in the 80s without today's rules and racking aids, and pattern racking to go along with the racking aids. Today's players are not more skillful in their game anymore than the top players in the 70s, 80s, or 90s were, they're just more spoiled with all the aids that make them LOOK like better players. Take away their jump cues, racking aids, worsted wool cloth, and all the rules that have been changed....and the top players in the 70s would eat these top players today for lunch!

The goalie equipment may be superior but its also twice the size than in the 60's and 70's. Players are bigger and stronger but would love to see todays teams play the oilers from the 80's or the 70's canadians.
