slate pocket shelf cuts

Is there any method to increase the shelf? Bondo or something? But bondo probably wouldn't hold up to a ball bouncing back from the pocket?

Just curious!

Not worth the effort, unless you're trading out the slates for Diamond slates...LOL

I have pinned in and used the plastic wood like you would use on a deck for extentions then bondo as filler I have did it to several Gold Crowns with no problems in over 8 years. Some woods will shrink with moisture so be careful what you use. Takes some work , But it will be awesome when done. LCCS:thumbup:

Since labor is very inexpensive where I live, it might be worth a try. I'm not thinking of anything but a small amount of shelf added.

Would you happen to have any photos or could you supply me with more detail on how I can tell my mechanic how to do that?

Thanks

I remember asking you the same thing when you discovered those slates on my GC1 were Gandy slates (what a tragedy)! That was the only thing I could think of at the time until you obtained those Diamond slates for me! I'll never forget that!!!

If your mechanic does not know how find a new mechanic.
