Slip Stic, one more time.

Hey,

I just reapplied slip stic and just said WOW! The original application lasted about 1.5 months which was a lot longer than I thought it would. It probably has already been said enough but Im going to say it again anyway, if you havent bought Slip Stic yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! There is absolutely nothing else on the market that can do what it does. There is almost no friction no matter how tight your bridge, with none of that artificial feeling of oils or waxes. The best way for me to sum it up is everytime you stroke, it feels like the shaft was just made and you just washed your hands.

Thanks, Asgar

P.S. No, I am not affiliated with slip stic in any way, except for being a very satisfied customer.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the new formula which is being tested, or the one on the website, or for that matter which formula is now being sold on the website.

We are still selling the original at this time on the site. The new formula has a non-flammable cleaner in it which when applied will completely evaporate leaving no residue at all, just the pure conditioner behind. We are fine tuning the evaporation time. We have one which evaporates in about 30 seconds and another in about 2 minutes. We are trying to get about one minutes time of cleaning which we feel is ideal.

The other advantage to the new formula is that it will more evenly distribute the conditioner requiring less. It is very expensive to manufacture and doing this will help keep cost in line. We have found that many that use the original actually use more than they really need.

Also, we will continue sales of the original only that the 2nd will be a cleaner-conditioner.

We sent out 40 about 3 or 4 weeks ago. These were tests as opposed to samples. I received feed back which is why we are modifying the formula. Once we are satisfied with the revision, we will be sending out more test packets.

in my opinion the two greatest inventions in the last 50 years in the billiards world are~~~~~~~ slip stic, and the sardo rack.

I actually applied some of my free sample to my cue last night and was really impressed on how the cue feels, now I will see how long it lasts, it sure don't take very much to give it that nice feeling............ :)

Pete,

I received one of the original test packets. Will you be sending out the revised versions to the same people (ie: me being one of them) or to others?

How does this compare to Cue Silk? I just bought some a few months ago and it seems to work quite well. I used some burnishing paper then appiled the Cue Silk. However I would like to find something that dries quicker.

First of all, Conditioners are important to protecting the cue's shaft (Cue makers generally condition cue shafts) and are not compounds that need to dry.

SlipStic conditioner was designed by chemists to eliminate the need for the add-on shaft slickers and other products. It simply repels grit and does not mix with moisture, and for 4 to 6 weeks you do not need to do a single thing with your cue shaft except a quick buff with a dry cloth.

Other products are simply no longer needed. More importantly they especially become worse on your cue shaft as they break down from the moistures from your hands and the air beginning with your first stroke. Wax and polishes get soft and collect grit (think of how a candle feels on a warm day or how tacky the furniture feels after being polished). The smoothers and slickers on the other hand form a layer on your cue shaft that becomes "gunk" again as you stroke because they mix with moisture.

SlipStic eliminates the need to use any of these products to keep the cue shaft playing naturally..

I love my sample! In fact, I am listing Slip Stic as a sponsor, since Pete sent me free product. I guess I need to reapply it, but I haven't felt the need for it yet.

Slipstic is great stuff....creates very low friction on the cue shaft.

I've always played with a glove, cause I can't stand the sticky feeling.

In fact, the only thing I don't like about Slipstic, and this actually testifies to its slipperyness, is that I have the habit of pushing balls around the table with my cue shaft quite a bit when practicing. Especially when repeating shots over and over. The Slipstic makes the cue shaft slide off the balls, making them hard to move around. There is a very significant difference.

But for actual playing, that slippery feel cannot be beat, and it lasts pretty well as many have testified.

Here's me from a tourney on the weekend, still with glove (force of habit).

If you can complain about that, then damn.

Why damn, and what does damn mean?

If you practice a lot and use the shaft of the cue to return the ball to positions then a very slippery shaft makes it more difficult and costs time.

Just giving an honest appraisal, as someone who sees the advantages and quality of Pete's product. Almost everything comes with a compromise.

If you can't see that, then damn!:D

Colin, it's american slang...lol.

Essentially what he ment was, "then damn that stuff makes the shaft really slick."

Haha! I thought the same exact thing when I was practicing the other day!
