Slow Rolling Question

Either your aim is off, or your stroke is off or your table is off or a combination of the above.
Fix what is off.
Slow rolling should be avoided as much as possible as most tables are not 100% leveled and even if the table is perfectly level, all it takes is a tiny grain of chalk to make the ball deviate off its path

  1. repeat the same shot in the three other diagonals - you should be able to understand if the table is not leveled
  2. could be you not shooting in the center of the cue ball but a little bit to the left. Slow rolling let the swerve taking effect

🤔 the obvious time er uh thread to promote. Cueball at impact and the eyes following whitey is the quickest way to gain important data. The rotation of a stripe is easiest to follow. The rotation of whitey and the path are data. The rotation of the object ball is observed as well. A bad contact can be obvious. This better betting position to know for sure. Not blame just data.
The little chunk of pizza was a culprit in a bar er uh tavern environment. 🤷‍♂️
The data of a 1 hour morning fitness program adds to the bank. Data bank leads to money in the bank. 😉 🤷‍♂️

As some of you read on the 106 Breaks & 7 Chances thread I attempted to slow roll the 6B up about 8-10 inches the other night and missed it to the right.

So, tonight, I attempted a drill for slow rolling as shown in the diagram above. And every time I tried to slow roll the CB through the 3B and 1B the CB went to the left. Every time. The only time I got the CB through was when I made a conscious effort to aim to the right.

Thoughts?

If you’re slow rolling the break that may be why you have no chance to get out.

P.S. Dr. Cue wants his name back.

Do you enjoy playing pool? Do you play others?

Yes, I enjoy playing. A great deal of the time it's frustrating.

I've played others a few times over the years. But that's been my main weakness. Living in a small town there's basically nobody worth a hoot to play against. The two people that I've played with over the years both died of cancer.

Competition has always been a problem for me.

I definitely think you would enjoy it quite a bit more if you could play against other versus just judging your ability against what you see on youtube. Might be worth finding a spot, or some spots to go compete.

Sorry Greg, you lost me at pizza!!😉

Try this.... stand in line with the long string it's the (center line between head and foot rail middle).
Drop the cue ball on too the top of the rail nose, this creates a centered beginning/rolling motion of the cue ball.
If your table is level in the middle then?
Not at this table location then, call a mechanic, or lower or raise that corner a skosh.

Well the piece oh pepperoni on the bar table at the pizza parlor is a genuine flashback.
Environmental awareness includes inspection o the table. I always noticed Johnny Archer nit picking. Snooker players must point it and let the ref remove the impurities.
I also remember little white pebbles that anxiously originated in my opponents nose.
That's a sign. My interpretation was that he would be able to make anything that he could see. Simple solution 🤷‍♂️. The highten awareness of the visual takes from the planning department and often leads to a self inflicted hook. 🤷‍♂️
I took it as a moral victory breaking even in $100 sets against an opponent that put almost that much up his nose for the match. I prefer playing On the Natch. 🤷‍♂️
I encountered many lesser players that used chemicals. That knowledge gave me confidence because I considered it a sign of weakness or insecurities. I couldn't out shoot them but was always able to out think 'em. 🤷‍♂️

One of the biggest tournaments in the world is less then 2 hours from you and happening in January. I'm sure there will be some hoot worthy players there.
