my fellow enthusiast, been so busy on wood dust making, just want to share this one player, this cue was done and shipped last year for a good friend and Azer as well from Indonesia, after of many exchange emails on details and design, we come up with this..the cue was made from snakewood and gaboon ebony, with 3 long and 3 short points with spear at the end made from pink ivory and recut with amboyna burl, all white is made of ivory, including the joint and buttcap, ringworks are made of abalone sandwich by amboyna burl..

Interesting joint face and butt cap construction.

Was this done to reinforce the ends of the ivory and reduce splitting?

Pretty cue...not to my taste....the handle wood is beautiful. Nice example of this style of cue, well executed I think.

Thanks for the kind words Chopdoc, as for the joint and buttcap, yes that is my main objective, just playing safe:)

Also, what core wood did you use and is the cue built on a full one piece core, or did you still use a threaded tenon at the A-joint?

hi Dan, how are you? i heard you start repairing and converting? anyway thanks for the words, the final weight is in 19.9 oz, balance weight is 19.5 inches from the buttcap, ivory ferrule as well. the snakewood is cored and has a threaded tenon at the A-joint..i try to shoot the cue and the good thing i cant feel to much weight on it when its in horizontal position..:) and love the hit of ivory too.

Nice one Al....not my style but says alot about what you're capable of. I'm sure this one hits dam well too, still lovin my blackpearl. :)
