I have been promising everyone to show pics of the free case I won from John Barton in the essay writting contest we had last year. John told me the case should be finished and in the box later this week at the time I will show better pics and more detailed as John suggested. But right now I cannot temper my enthusiasm at this great looking case.

It has taken awhile for John to get to it and he told me up front that with all the new orders for Flowers cases and his regular orders and the birth of his newborn that it was going to take awhile . That if I was patient and agreed to wait he would build me any case I wanted free of charge for winning the contest. Well that was a no brainer and I quickly agreed and now the case is almost done. I want to say that first off with all John was going through he was a class act to work with. He always answered my emails and questions stupid or not ... He constantly sent pictures and he gave me everything I wanted and I also gave him the freedom to so some of the things he wanted. This case will come with some of his new latches and designs like the blue of the case coming up on the outside of the pockets ... John is definatly one of the best people I have ever had the privledge of working with...

I think John and his crew did a outstanding job on this case and it has alot that you will not see in these pics. John gave me permission to post pics of the case but thought it would be better to wait till it was complete to show them. Me I can't wait I am so excited with this case ... I am going to post three pictures to give you a overall idea and then when it is complete I will post pictures of the whole case in more depth... I can't believe John is footing the expense of this case in it's entirety just for me writting a essay on why I love the game of pool.... Thank you do much John Barton and your fabulous crew of case makers and designers....Thank you , thank you , thank you ...

Teaser pics not great quality but the next ones will be alot better...

Please, please tell me the detail on those cards is not tooled leather......I hope that is a stamp of some description.

Great case whatever the method.

I'm not sure how they do it , John will have to answer that question I just know I love the way the case is turning out ... And it has been a pleasure dealing with JB Cases and crew.... I know the detail on those Kings is just unbelievable it looks just like the real deal and it just blew me away....

John sent me this on the cards...

The cards are laser engraved and tooled. The outline and the detail is laser engraved and we had to work for many hours to get the graphics just right to achieve this effect. Then the cards were tooled to give them a little depth.

Contrary to popular belief laser engraving is not simply pop it in and go. There is a lot of prep work and a lot of trial and error to get the proper end result.

We did in fact tool the cards on a scrap piece and we all decided that the laser engraving was the better option.
