It's gonna be an African Blackwood, 6 pointer with 5 rings. Purple, blue, purple, black veneers into a highly figured curly maple forearm. Still working on the inlays. A huge, huge cue from the Tim Scruggs shop in progress. Mike just sent these up. Kinda a tease. I think the YL's gotta good eye for cue design. What do you think?

Beauty

Looks like it is gonna be another TS/MC beauty. I will definitely have to take a close look at this one this weekend when I go to Tim's shop.

Stop throwing around the "I'm going to see'em stuff" :p ..... I'm trying to plan my own trip up there in the near future, let me know how the drive is.

Steven...

The drive isn't bad... about 8 hours from here. My brother-in-law lives 10 minutes from Tims shop, so when we go visit I sneak away for a couple of hours. Last time I forgot my cue  I am trying to get David to go sometime with me. Only problem with that is I will have to keep him from buying another one. (In other words... keep him from getting beat up by Christy when he gets home!) We have talked about going to the US Open and making a trip then.

Ha, she wouldn't beat him, probably just shoot him he's a big guy.... But hey while you are up there if ya have a camera handy tell Mike you just need a few more shots of some cues for some big fans here on AZ, and their waiting recipients...

No wounder Timi is so far behind on custom orders!

Mr Ralph,
What joint will be on the misses cue? Keltic inlays? Ruins? I rember you telling me some thoughts you had for your wife's cue. You seemed very excited. Now I can see why!
I am sure this cue will not help Timi's custom order waiting time! I have to wounder if you will go classic on this one's design. I can't wait to see the new addition completed for you all!
Congrats,
Nick :)

Plan on taking some pics while there and hoping to polish my MC and do some decent pics of it as well. I have tried here, but cant get the lighting right to show off the new wrap.

Thanks Nick. This is Laura's first custom and I promised her it would be BIG!
I trust only 1 man to make this cue for her. (well 2 actually)

Semi classic. I came up with a few inlay sketches since we visited Tim and Mike a few weeks ago. This is 1 design Laura likes, Please excuse my crude drawing skills. Nothing is to scale!

She likes the flat faced steel joint with the radial pin.

She's giving me the 8 as it is. I hide all my good cues and make her play with a crappy old palmer. Lord knows what she'll do with this thing. She nearly beat 1 of the house pros tonite in a tourney. She finished 3rd and I got 4th.
