cuemaker Bebot Bautista just finished this simple yellowheart on curly maple sneaky. i conceptualized the design as i wanted to achieve a cue that is not so fancy yet different. so i thought of something that doesnt show too much contrast but wont be a dark wood on dark wood design.
collar and butt cap came from an old cue ball that has already aged to a yellowish color. i expect the collar and joint to turn yellowish as well as they "age." veneers are cut from the same maple & YH.
forearm was cored with Ipil wood (a local hardwood here in the Philippines), to add weight and stability. weight is about 19.5.
i requested for 2 shafts for this: 1st shaft is 12.9mm, 14mm at 15 inches. has a cheap tip that i soaked and pressed. 2nd shaft is 13.1, 14.7mm at 15 inches. has a tiger emerald tip that i also soaked and pressed. both shafts use juma ferrule.
