There are many opinions on what the names mean....

To me ....

A PJ is a cue with no points and it will not have any fancy rings.

A MW has no points but has fancy rings.

A SP is like a house cue but, it has a joint and is in 2 pieces.

I know there are many others that will not agree.

Kim,

To me, Plain Janes can have fancy rings and Merry widows are one piece butts with no joinery. Both have no points.

I have read exactly what you said.........

I just said what I thought the majority thinks........

but I could be wrong ....

Maybe we need to do a real survey.... I don't think everyone has the same definitions........

I also think the answers will never be accepted by all.

Kim,

My billiard cue is a floating point merry widow by Ray Schuler. One piece butt for sure.

I used to be a dealer for Ray.
