Has anyone played with this tip? What are your thoughts ?
I'm thinking about trying one.

Tim.

I like them; I'm making the switch over from Moori S and M. The Snipers are rated medium-hard but play a little bit softer to me. Grips the cueball well and doesn't seem to glaze over as much as my Moori's did. Holds chalk at least as well as the Moori III's I've tried. Best price I've found for them is at Atlas, but they have the $50 minimum order requirement. I think there are some on eBay right now somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 for $20 shipped.

I iked it the hit alot. They are a little harder to cut though. I also liked the Hercules H2 domed. A little easies to cut cut on the lathe.

the best Tip

this Tip intalled is the best what you can do,it is harder than Moori medium if you cut to 2 or 3 mm.I played with my Tip now near 2 Years and I play Pool about 30 Hours per Week.;)

I have used and installed quite a few of them now. Installation is a little tricky (sp). Its best to wet them and trim with a blade, especially on a lathe. Its easyier and quicker. They last a long time and have a comperable hardness to the Moori mediums. They don't seem to mushroom or compress as much as the Moori. They are harder to shape, but maintain the shape well once done. I am beginning to change all my cues to Snipers. To me, they play like the Moori, but hold chaulk and shape better.

Thanks for the input guys.
Anyone else ?
I currently play with a tailisman M/H how would it compare?

If you like a Medium tip, I think you will like the Sniper as well. Regardless of what you read here, Snipers are certainly gaining some ground as a popular tip. I just hope they don't start to jack up the price because of this!

The Sniper is a great tip. If you favor the LePro go with a Moori. If you favor something slightly softer then Sniper is probably for you. Make sure whoever installs them knows what they are doing. It is an easy tip to destroy during installation if the person does not know what they are doing.

That's what I have been reading as well. I have my professionally installed only. Funny how I favored a hard tip, until I tried this one. The Sniper really holds it's shape, too.

I just started using a sniper on one of my cues. I like it a lot, it gives good spin and still has a nice solid feel. I think it plays similar to a Moori Medium and much better than the Talisman Pro I tried.

No worries. We currently have no plans to raise the price of Snipers ;)

I too have played with Talisman M/H. I tried Sniper and Morri Medium on my Gina and Jack Madden cues. I have yet to find a tip as consistent as the Talisman with rarely a mis cue and I play on the extreme outside of the cue ball. Being a bank player and a student of Bugs Rucker and Gary Spaeth (use a lot of two and 1/2 tips of english) I find the Talisman M/H the best of the three.
