10 pro snooker players have received bans from the tour for match fixing and betting. Two of the bans were lifetime. Here is an excellent article about how it went down. When the pool tour gets more lucrative, I think we can expect similar stories. These are not the first bans snooker has seen.

It must be a good piece of investigation for that article, took some time to put details together. The scandal itself happened in June.

Not to completely excuse the match fixing, but it does stink that the lockdown had a part in it. I’m betting it would have never happened without it.

Thirty years ago, someone once told me that when it come to gambling, if there is enough money involved, someone is cheating. It probably applies to everything else in life, too.
