But the handi caps are a little..... shall I say shallow. C players only getting 2 games from A players. So some C player is going to have to face Jarrod or Joey D. only getting 2 games, that doesnt seem all that attractive to some players.

The single elimination, $20 entry to me is fine.
Like Dave said, I know a couple of other good players who were scared away by the fact that, if they get to the main event, they are only getting one game from players like Jarrod, Joey, Liz, and Billy. One game in a long race mind you (8-7). That would seem to me to be the biggest reason why turn-out could be low.
This tournament is heavily geared toward the top players.

The secondary pot is at $2060.00 - we are averaging $515.00 per week - at that rate we should have about $3600.00 to pay 2nd thru 16th (percentages not decided yet)

i think 20bucks for a 5k shot is worth it. plus, i think the singke elimination makes you play harder. thats just my opinion. c u guys on saturday.

One more point, looking that your averaging 500 a week is that really a low turn out. I mean 25 players a week for a qualifier really doesnt seem that low does it?

I expected 20 players per division per week ($1200.00) so based on that we have had a small turnout - We have 3 weeks left and the last week is the Turning Stone week - It would have been nice to get the secondary pot to $5000.00

Yes, we can see that players are not ranked correctly but for this event we stated we would use the 2009-2010 ranking from all local tours

I don't think so Dave. I asked Ray about that and he said that he would play as a B still. Fine by me. Teddy is a B, just played great in that qualifier.
