So now I have a Diamond

I had a chance to get a nice red label a few years ago for 3k but we weren’t ready with our new house. I just passed on an older Professional blue label for 6k but my wife didn’t like the reddish color. I kinda want a Diamond but a nice matte black GC4 with matching light is falling into my lap for around 3k or so. Unfortunately it’s 1100 miles away. On my drive home, I plan on dropping off the rails at JZMechanic for Artimis and rail extensions. Just not sure if I want 4 1/8 or 4 1/4 corners.

Are you going to keep the Diamond the original oak color? It's just solid wood, you can refinish it to something else if you like. I've always liked a matte black finish, or a white. But to each his own.

To start. But it will be up to the wife once we finish the kitchen/pool room remodel. It takes her forever to figure out what “tones” she wants. She has had 4 different colors of swatches of paint on the bedroom fireplace for a year lol. She is buying a new rug as I type so she seems good with it for now.

Got the wood into the garage, slate is still on the trailer lol. Took inventory of the hardware and since we are waiting on a rug, I will get to work putting the new rail cloth on.

About Simonis 760 topic. I don´t know if you guys have access to simonis 950 Rus pro. It is exactly same cloth as 760 but weave is different and it is also pressed more. Finnish Kaisa tables normally use 760 because game need faster cloth. We decided to try 950 in our club and it is same speed or little faster and spin grabs like in 860. Also my estimate is that 950 lasting good maybe 30% longer than 760.
So our club used it now 5 years(we replace our cloths once per year.). Very nice cloth.

Based on MY exp. only 760 is too fast for rotation UNLESS its used in humid conditions. Its this reason that 860 was invented in the first place: too many complaints of 760 being too fast. Its fine for 1p/14.1 i guess but when when my local place first installed 760 back in mid-90's no one liked it, at least not when new. In humid Tulsa it slowed down pretty quick but it was still too fast for 9b imo. I think HR is the best all-around cloth Sim. makes. All this being said the location/climate means a lot when choosing cloth. If used in the southeast or in a basement the faster the better, in drier climes reg 860 will be pretty fast.
