I am curious as to which AZB members no longer play pool...and why. If you don't play at all, no tournaments, not for fun or gambling...what attracts you to this site?

If you don't play because of health reasons just say that...don't need to know your personal info.

I love to play but find that lately I just don't have the time to spend 8 -12 hours in a pool room for tournaments. I am making an exception for the US Amatuer next weekend at Mr Cues II in Atlanta.

I would love to play and I spend alot of time around it because of my job. It actually makes me a little sick sometimes that I don't play but a rack or two every now and then and when I do play I get pissy because I know I can do better and have done better. Anyway I come on here to find information and try to give some whever I can.

Been clean for 4 months now and I find I now have a lot of spare time to pursue other interests. My wallet seems to have become a little fatter over the last few months but it could be unrelated.



I'm still a very active poster on AZB though... just not with the pool related topics anymore.

Did you have your shower repaired 4 months ago? You could have dabbed off in a gas station like I use to. :D

I wouldn't say that I no longer play at all. But I certainly don't play like I used to. It just got too expensive and time consuming. Especially with some of the other activities I have taken up lately... like I am training for a 1/2 marathon!:D

But what brings me here is that I started coming here when I was really involved in pool... and now that I am not, I still love checking in every once in a while! Plus, it's the only place to get updates on tournaments sometimes.

I would guess that Jay Helfert is a non-playing member, because if he was still playing he would not be called the Gingerbread Man...

I don't play very often. I love this sport and industry. My livelyhood is billiards. I just don't have the drive to play that much anymore. The kid that works with me will do pool table work for 12 hours than go to the poolroom for another 6. I remember when I used to be that guy. To be 22 again. lol :thud:
