So Why Do I Find Myself Looking at Meuccis?

New direction and management. They are made much better now and no more of Bob's signature on the cues. His designs but different construction.

I wonder if it still hits like a Meucci. They have a distinct hit about them. You can pause the ball for a split second before it draws. Love it.

The new sneakypetes are not full splice ... Look awful

A Meucci advertised as having a large-wobble butt and a so-so wobble shaft sold for $270 including shipping. Nice.

Not to me. 😃

(If I get one it will be one with a warranty/ send back policy or a used one I see in person.)

I would like to buy a fixer-upper and send it to Scott Irwin or Meucci's new service department. I have an old Meucci which was previously refinished by Scott, and it's beautiful. It would be fun to participate in the process and to see the results from start to finish.

I'm not a fan of Cuetec or Meucci's, But the Cuetec is a fine cue why change
Because it’s different and shiny. I don’t need it. I know that. Maybe won’t get it. I kinda wish I were the guy with a Players sneaky pete who is happy. I am not that guy I guess. That’s why I suppose.

You got GAS

Maybe wobbly Meucci's are worth less than $270.
Nope. Thirty-year-old wobbly Meucci's are worth about $375. Auction ends in two hours. Under condition, seller wrote "for parts or not working".

I bought a Meucci BMC casino last month after posting this. Some may hate the look and I get it- it could be a love it/ hate it deal. But I like it. And some others do too. Maybe those who hate it don't comment. Anyway, the quality seems to be there. I suppose time will tell. But it is straight and seems well-made to me. Excellent finish IMO. The Pro shaft I mentioned in the other thread too. I like it. Not what I remember of the Meucci '80's shafts but still soft and responsive. I like the hit and how it plays. I didn't have a Meucci from '88 until now, so I missed a few decades. This decade is so far so good.

Well, let's have a look!

Have you LOOKED at their new warranty?

Meucci Cues provides a limited one-year warranty, from the date of purchase, [...] This warranty covers issues that affect the performance or structural integrity of the Products due to manufacturing defects.

If anyone has played pool for awhile will know a
Meucci is magic. I no longer play with one but when I did whatever I wanted it to do it will do with very little effort. The quality may be bad but it made up for it with how it played.

I believe it’s the Meucci and their long ass taper.

It should be part of everyone’s collection. Find one of the themes you like and enjoy. It was once what Predator is today.

Meucci is now just a mystique of old world pool. Pre-internet.

A Meucci selling at auction now for $68 including shipping at https://www.ebay.com/itm/2666913240...d=link&campid=5335988529&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 It's got problems but only something a cue technician could fix very easily (or so say seller):
The separation is very tight and the cue still has a solid hit and plays great but causes the cue to have a large wobble while rolling the cue on the table flat. The shaft also has a wobble in it. The ferrule has a few scuffs or cracks by the tip but i can’t tell which one it is. The cue still hits and plays very well. I’m sure a cue technician could fix the cue very easily but i got it from an estate and don’t know anything about it . . .View attachment 745572
The butt has an S warp.
Unrepairable.

Im a little upset that meuccies Pro shaft is only availiable in Meucci threads. trully a great shaft, straight shooter and great feel. something us old timers understand.

Given the relatively small OD of the brass 5/16-18 insert in the shaft, it is relatively simple to bore it out, plug the shaft, and convert to virtually any thread you like. I've converted two to radial recently for a guy who loved the shafts but wanted a different butt.

Meucci can make a shaft for any threads I have bought shafts for multiple different threads. Unless they recently changed this.

I dont support to play with any cues manufactured outside of the USA, go over there live and play them!
