softest hitting cue with good quality?

just curious everyone seems to say how stiff or crisp a cue hits. What cue maker would be known for being the least stiff or crisp but considered a good cue playing wise.and I'm not refering to deflection.

That is a big part of it. My theory is the parts of the cue closest to the cue ball have progressively more impact on the hit.

OB1 or OB2 with your choice of a soft tip.

The difference between the OB1 and OB2 are 12.75mm vs. 11.75mm tip, and pro taper vs. conical taper, respectively.

I have both and I notice very little difference between them (I thought the tip size and taper would be very different, but I guess it's just not a big enough difference to notice...to me, anyway).

Agreed. Pair this with a super soft tip with a phenolic joint and you got it. Can't stand heavy steel joint hit myself.
