I talked to Gary when it first came out, and he felt it would be too soft of a finish for cues. That was a couple years ago, and so I didn't try it...but I am thinking of ordering a small amount to tryI see they have come out with a lacquer like product that is spray able anyone try for cues ? and what do you think?
If your not using the lacquer what are you guys using now?
Thanks
The lacquer is softer, according to the owner/chemist at Solarez. What Kim is posting about is their Polyester finish which is hard, and sands/buffs to a high shine.Ah, but is that the lacquer type finish or their normal epoxy product?
have you done that test on phenolic pieces of the same length?check out my video where I beat my solarex finish with a hammer.............. click the link abovewww.facebook.com

no......... I never use phenolic except for shaft insertshave you done that test on phenolic pieces of the same length?
Wow I figured anything would stick to phenolic. Does it peel?Phenolic is Solarez's kryptonite......even with their sealer for it.
I have never had a problem with adhesion because I always use an epoxy base coat and epoxy sticks to everything\Wow I figured anything would stick to phenolic. Does it peel?
