Just for sh!ts and giggles, lets say that KT does pony up the $3 mil.

If all of the players had simply accepted the 1/3 they were offered, do you think KT would've sent out that announcement last night offering up a change of heart and now be willing to pay 100%?

I think NOT. To players that said, don't sue KT, give him a chance, this union is wrong, etc..... each and everyone of you owe the players that stood up and said "no" a very big "Thank You" if you end up with a 100% payment from Reno.

For the record, the players are continuing forward with their unionization. KT's letter didn't change anything. Why? Because he's said this before. Don't forget that you guys have been strung along for months being told that you were going to get paid. No one got that money did they? To date, all the players have is KT's announcements... he's promised payment in every announcement that has been sent to the players.

I'm sure KT thinks his announcement last night would put a halt on things and make everyone happy. It brought a small smile to their face and re-lit that little flame of hope but that's it. The players are not popping the champagne and backing off of anything.

To the players that are KT sympathizers.... I cannot tell you what to do, no one can. Just know that there's strength in numbers and luckily (hopefully) for you, the number of people willing to stand up were greater than the number of you willing to sympathize with a guy that has done nothing but lie to you. It might (or might not) be in your best interest to re-think your current position. It depends on what you think is best for you but KT's letter last night proves that there's strength in numbers.

It also shows me he had the money all along if he pays, so if that's the truth then why break the trust with false information, cut in pay outs etc., doesn't make much sense. He'll have fallout from this for sure, Lely was affected?

Did someone say they were breaking out the Dom? I perfer Rothchild! Let me know when the Rothchild is broken out, I'll leave the Dom alone, it's just not good enough for me!

Spoke with an "inside source" last night. Someone who has had many dealings with KT and the IPT (think equipment). He said that he believes KT has the money to pay if he wants to. I asked him why he felt that way, because I've long believed KT was short of funds.

Once again he steadfastly told me KT has the money and can pay if he wants to. He just doesn't like to take the loss. "Bad pay" in other words. KT may have to suck it up and dish out here. The heat is getting too strong.

There are tons of small businesspeople out in the world who will, despite having the funds to pay a debt (hired a freelancer, bought some supplies, etc) will do their damndest to stiff the other guy. It's just how they think/operate.

I once knew a guy who did collections for various clients part-time. He told me this story where he called up a guy to collect on a debt. The guy told him "God told me not to pay this bill." My pal says "Oh yeah? When did God tell you this?" "Last night," the guy says. My pal says "Oh! Well I spoke with God this morning and he told me he changed his mind."

As far as the possible situation of some players accepting the partial payment and then the full payment option coming open - it would be a major gaffe for the IPT to tell the partially-paid folks "Whoops! You already took that partial payment. Too bad!" MAJOR gaffe. Whatever credibility they would have regained by offering the full payments, they'd lose by stiffing those folks who didn't wait.

That could be looked at in different ways. There can always be a point you are too aggressive. KT may go from wanting to pay at least a portion of what he owes to keep the company up and running to saying, "It just ain't worth it" and shut down. The guy is a flake and law suits don't phase him at all, but the players really turning on him may be all the excuse he needs to say "Screw you try to collect".

This is touchy and although we talk a lot on here the players need to negotiate without emotion and outside interference to make the best deal they can. Their lawyers will know what they are doing. I am not saying anyone needs to kiss KT's ass, but he does hold the cards right now. I personally don't think he will pay anything anymore from his last email but you never know, antagonizing him can't help.

let the lawyers negotiate with him and see what happens. If he doesn't pay at all they players will be singing a different tune and not offering up thank you's but looking to blame someone for why the negations broke down.
