Some updates 14.1

Orcollo ran 152-out and made poor Roberto sit and watch the whole time? That's not fair at all... where are the alternate-break police when we need them?

I hear ya. I don't know where the minus 2 came from, but if they exchanged fouls, he did get a chance.

I suppose the lag and the opening break shot were 2 more chances also, but in a situation where one guy runs all the way out with no game innings - I would like to see a rule having the player that ran out make an opening break for the other guy  and give him one inning.

But we all know that isn't happening. It wouldn't take any longer than would a close scoring game. Unless of course he did it, then they'd have to start over or lag for the win, LOL.

No hubris there

Yup. Or pushing the CB somewhere else. Foiled by youthful hubris or just forgetfulness?

I,d say youthful impetuousness and defend Filler. He is not full of himself.
I wasn,t aware of the foul. I cringed as he got down on the shot he took.
I thought the one ball up table was the better shot, even with bridging over that small cluster. Did anyone see something there that I didn't?

Being less than a rack from putting away the defending champion... That has to hurt.
It will be interesting to see if he has the mettle to rebound today. I,m rooting for him and hope he does.

amazing shooter, it will be scary when he gets more experience.

as for everyone praising him for calling the foul on himself, i'm sure he is honorable enough to do that anyway, but let's also be realistic here: it was screamingly obvious, he moved the ball back and forth at least a half inch, and he was on the streaming table being recorded. there's no way he could have had any future in pool if he didn't call that foul.

He did have another match yesterday after the loss to Appleton, and beat Lipsky 150-26.
His match today with Shaw should be really entertaining.

They're calling him Joshua "Killer" Filler.

I think it should be Joshua "Pocket" Filler.

Now those are quite funny!! Filler.... now will be a name to watch for regardless how he finishes. Good for the sport of 14:1 BUT also great for pool... been watching him since he was a youngster... great talent!!

Any news on Corey or Shane matches? Thanks again for the update... great work...
