Something Different: The Lighthouse Cue

So here's the story. I had a lady from the Outer Banks, NC call telling me she wanted a "Lighthouse cue". After talking and making some drawings, I mailed the drawings to her.

She was WAY confused. I think she expected one of those sticker cues like McDermott does with the wolves. I let her know that isn't our thing and managed to talk her into the intarsia design I had created.

Well, to end the story, the cue came out great and she loved it. It's nothing like what we normally make but it was an enjoyable build. Something to break of the monotony of building the same styled cue over and over.

Note: There are 18 inlays per lighthouse and the windows/rings are tulipwood to represent the light inside the lighthouse.

And here she is....

Very unique design. You guys have been doing some great work. I have a Carolina that I "stole" off ebay and it plays great. I enjoy stopping by the Carolina booth at the expo every year also. Keep it up guys.

You smell that? Do you smell that? Ebony, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of ebony in the morning. The smell, you know that burnt wood smell, the whole shop. Smelled like... victory. Someday this cue's gonna get finished...

I believe you've watched Apocalypse Now one to many times.
