Sixteen of MAPPA’s best pool players battled it out on May 3, 2018 at the AMF-Puyat Superbowl and Billiards Center for one of the organization’s most-coveted titles – the Winner-Take-All Championship. 
In all honesty, it was a hard-fought battle as most of the pool players who participated in the 1K entry, race-to-8, two-day event were the crème of the crop. From past and current tour winners; previous and current WTA champions; the best money game players in the amateur pool scene; and more! Indeed, Mappa's paramount and finest were there!

MAPPA friends, thank you very much for giving me your best. I gave you mine. Truly, it was an honor and privilege to play with you.
And it is with a grateful and happy heart that I am writing this: I got lucky!
The Champ is champ again! And I kid you not! 
.
My search to discover my self again has led me back to the sport. Billiards has been very good to me. I love the game with all my heart. And it has loved me back even more.
️
The thought of winning again has been at the back of my mind. I am so elated to realize it at this point in time - about 5 months since my return to the sport after the 7 long years of absence due to the injuries I suffered because of a couple of accidents that almost crippled me.
And to achieve this awesome win at the very same place where it all started for me years ago – at the AMF-Puyat Superbowl! Hu-WAW! Indeed, to be able to do this all over again is a good thing! I feel so blessed! We all are. And I am so happy! 
.
In retrospect, the road I had to take to win my first championship - again - was a challenging one. It was truly difficult. And I couldn’t have pulled this off, this incredible feat in my book, without the love and support of family and friends.
With that said, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped me, in one way or another, achieve one of the four goals I set on my pool bucket list.

Daddy Jun Diamante - You were the very first person to talk to me at the AMF-Puyat Superbowl when I took up the sport several years ago. And you were the very first person that I got in touch with when I decided to have another go at it.
Thank you very much for the therapy sessions at BPs Corner. I remember the excruciating physical pain I experienced each and every time we finished a set - piercing pain that would be with me for a minimum of 3 days. Still, we kept at the 1-set-a-week routine until it gradually became 2 sets a week.
There were more losses than wins for me. Losses so many that I felt awkward and embarrassed. You even shut me out several times, which I never experienced before. But I did not quit. I held on.
You took it upon yourself to spend time and money to be with me, a shell of the man I used to be. You were very patient and caring. With the love of a father to his son, you wanted me to succeed. And succeed we did!
It may not mean much but you were the first person I called on the phone after I spoke with my wife and kids about the championship. With all my heart, thank you very much, Dad!

Before the WTA got underway last Thursday, I remember making this request from you: To intercede with God on my behalf - for a good game. He gave me more than that. God granted me a championship!
