Song that made you play your heart out?

I play my best after I go over to the juke box when nobody's looking and unplug it - thus, temporarily creating a real poolhall...then afterwards I get to have the pleasure of watching the bangers go over and try to put their money in, and then just give up, figuring that it's out of order....I'm such a hater....

Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." Journey's "Stone in Love." a close second. Any Journey song, really.

This is from the if its happened to me I'm sure it's happened to many of you department.

I was playing this guy who regularly tore me a new one at the table. The guy is one of the best bar box players in the area. No matter how many times I'd lose to him I would keep going back for more. Sooner or later I was going to hand him a good whooping.

One night we were playing each other in an 8 ball tournament and he'd won the lag, broke and came up dry..just then Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" started playing on the juke box. I got into the song and particularly the part where Dylan sings "how does it feel?". I beat the guy 5-1 that night and went on to take 1st. He has since lost his fair share of matches to me.

Funny how the right song, at the right time can get you pumped.

So what song or songs have done it for you?

The theme from Rocky helped me squeeze past Fargo!

Some AC/DC or Motley Crue always works for me...Hells Bells or Kickstart My Heart

I don't know if this has been covered yet or not, I didn't read all the replies. But for me, when I am really playing well, I can run out on a table, walk to my chair, and not be able to tell you one thing that happened outside of that table I was just on. I don't hear the jukebox, I don't hear people talking, I turn all of my attention to what I am doing.

Also, if you hinge your confidence on something as insignificant as a song, I think you're going to find yourself trying too hard every time you hear it, and often it will hinder your results.
