Just got back from first Night of wednesday league. The Diamond tables play lights out. very fast, incredibly lively rails. Just fantastic. And best of all for me is that the tables pockets play fair, not too tight but you can't be just banging balls in a hundred miles an hour. :)

Dangit. I am heading to northern Michigan to hunt in a few hours but, unfortunately for me, on the other side of the State. What kind of action could a person expect to get if they decided to stop in?

Where you going to be at Montana Mike?

I am going to be grouse hunting around the greater Oscoda area this weekend. I could probably find a reason to head up to the Buckley area sometime this fall depending on what could be expected. I would be willing to play most people but "R" is out of the question unless it is really cheap:wink:

Congrats on a good lookin room! It's always good to hear of a pool hall opening up instead of one closing down.

Well, the Southside Hideout is kind of an anomaly. It's a bar, Where the owner has such an interest in pool that he built a separate room and brought in some sweet tables in order to promote league and tournament play. You can either do the tables by the game or by the hour though. If all is a success with this, I could easily see him going ahead and adding on and putting in another set of tables. Hopefully pool interest in this area will continue to rise. We already had two places to play close so its nice to have a place to play with nice tables.

How long you going to be in the area for. There's a pretty nice tournament happening in Bay City this weekend. I could also hook you up with some players (And cue maker) from Alpena.

EDIT

Oops, thats next weekend, Oct 13.
