new to forum but not pool. im an average player: local pool hall when younger and now have a table at my house. i own about 6 Meucci cues and an Erwin custom. My question is regarding Southwest cues. What are they? I have seen mention of a southwest cue several times on the forum and it seems they are in high esteem. Again what is a southwest cue and what makes it/they dominant? thanks for the replies

I would say 'demand' and 'limited quantity' make them the best in some people's eyes. I wonder how many people could identify a SouthWest cue if it were wrapped or they were blindfolded and had to identify it correctly out of 20 other cues. My guess is very few could do it and even then none could identify the SouthWest consistently over multiple trials based on 'hit' where they could not see it.

IMO.there built with good wood but as far as hit is concerned,if
I waited 10 years and got one and it hit like the ones I've hit with,I would of been truly disappointed.
