So a friend of mine said a few years ago he bought a pool cue for $170 and then stopped playing pool because he has a chainsaw accident where he lost 3 fingers. The accident part is true, I hang out with him all the time and the hand was injured.

He said he never had a chance to use this cue he brought, so he is willing to sell it to me for $150 ($20 off the price tag which is still on the cue). I asked him to take some pictures so I can run it by you pro's before spending that much money.

He wanted to leave the cue in the bag for most of the pictures. The cue says spectrum on it, but I don't think it is a McDermott because I couldn't find the M in the maple leaf logo anywhere on it.

What do you guys think? Any idea who the maker of this cue is, and if it would be a good deal?

I would definitely pass. It's not a Mcdermott.

Inexpensive Asian import AFAIK. Looks like he paid a pretty stiff price in the first place.

Not sure how the subject of a McDermott would come up with this cue but...no...

Pass.

Just an FYI... The McDermott logo is an M inside of a four-leaf clover... not a maple leaf ;)

That said... PASS!
