Lindhart or close to it was his name i believe, i meet him at Bill and Billies here in baltimore around 25 years ago.

Rabbit was dead broke and asking to be staked, me and another guy put him in for a few hundred, playing 9 ball and Rabbit got the money.

It was the first and last time i ever seen the Rabbit play and he played very very well that nite in Bill n billies, i heard after the set was over that Peter didnt play 9 ball all that good, but he played lites out that set!

Does anyone know here if Rabbit is still living, i would guess he would be around 75-80.

And was that rabbits real nick name (spin the ball and go broke Peter Rabbit) that was the same person that told me that, that told me Rabbit didnt play good 9 ball.(of course that guy was wrong about Rabbit not playing good 9 ball).

I met "The Rabbit" in Philadelphia in the late 1970's. He was quite a character.

I believe his name was Peter Linhard and he died about ten years ago.

Usually Jay Helfert or the Beard would know about all the comings, goings and passings regarding players of the past.......

Unfortunately, he died of brain cancer in October 2005. You should read his book "How to get by without working", if you can find it. It's short but interesting. Please note, however, that it is not called "How to get rich without working", just how to "get by".

I'm contfused, you drive millions in vehicles and still shoot a dam fine game. The exception to the rule. Next book to be written, should be yours (although you'd surely need to pack RPG's afterwards). :grin-square:

Thanks for the kind words Mr. KoolKat. My best regards to the PinkLady while I'm at it. You're the one that should write a book anyway, something called "The brave tales of a neo-Ulysses". And as far as your cooking goes, CJ really dogged this one.
