Here's a video of an aiming system called by that name. Is that what you are referring to?Is Split the Difference basically CTE "light" ?
Well, it seems to be fractional ball with pivots, but I didn't find it was explained very well. I guess it would get a player to hit the ball on the correct side. And the kind of pivot required means that if you use it your position play will be very limited. That's what I concluded with a brief viewing.Yes, that's the system
So if you take the shot in the pic you posted, how would you go about coming up with your aim with CTE. I've never used it.for me, from playing around with both, CTE takes a tiny bit more thought but is more reliable.
No, I was asking about how you set the aim up using CTE that is more accurate.Watch the video. He aims dead at center ball then pivots half way over to the edge or he aims at half way over to edge then pivots to the edge.
For me, it works pretty well but CTE seems to be more accurate. I find intellectual stuff works in practice but in a game not so much. That's just me.
If you pivot as described position play won't be relevant.Well, it seems to be fractional ball with pivots, but I didn't find it was explained very well. Exactly why no aiming system can be entirely "robotic" - none of them fully define more than a handful of cut angles, so the shooter has to fill the gaps "by feel". The guy in this video doesn't seem to know that....there are so many different angles on pool shots.
I think since CTE has two sight lines and more aiming points, it's more accurate or reliable. I'm the last one to ask about technical stuff. No, I was asking about how you set the aim up using CTE that is more accurate.
No problem, my mistake, I thought you'd used it and thought it was more accurate. Thanks.I think since CTE has two sight lines and more aiming points, it's more accurate or reliable. I'm the last one to ask about technical stuff.
I watched Landon barbeque Earl on the 10 ft, that was all I needed to see![]()
I've used both Split the Diff and CTE. For me, CTE more reliable and accurate. I think this explains basic CTE .No problem, my mistake, I thought you'd used it and thought it was more accurate. Thanks.
I think my brain is too puny, can't get past all the steps, literally. I tried watching Little Chris's version of CTE as well, get a third of the way through and I loose interest and bail.I've used both Split the Diff and CTE. For me, CTE more reliable and accurate. I was that way with Stan Shuffett's videos, after a few minutes I was lost in space. I think go to the table, do one shot several times, then move to the next. It's a do thing not a watch thing, I think.I think my brain is too puny, can't get past all the steps, literally. Whatever works, good you found something.I was that way with Stan Shuffett's videos, after a few minutes I was lost in space. I think go to the table, do one shot several times, then move to the next. It's a do thing not a watch thing, I think.
What’s strange is that that system is basically throwing balls in with the spin (SIT) from the (BHE) pivot. Looks like if you need inside english for shape that you’d be eliminating the throw needed to make the shot.Exactly why no aiming system can be entirely "robotic" - none of them fully define more than a handful of cut angles, so the shooter has to fill the gaps "by feel". I think he pivots from off center to center CB, so there's no spin. In fact, doing it the way he describes would mean he always ends up at one of the "fractions" (3/4, 1/2, 1/4) and never in between - so it's pretty clear he doesn't do what he describes... and that he doesn't know it.... that system is basically throwing balls in with the spin (SIT) from the (BHE) pivot.
