Spot Removal - any ideas??

I removed the dot from my table & now have the sticky residue from the dot. Does anyone know how I can remove this residue without ruining the color on the felt?

You talking about the spot?

If I were you I would replace the spot immediately unless you want to put a hole in your cloth. And addtionally water will not ruin your felt. I clean all my tables with a damp cloth. If you insist on leaving spot off, scrubbing that area will not hurt anything.

For future reference, if you take a hair dryer and heat up the spot before you take it off it will loosen the glue and come off clean. If you don't want to scrub your felt you can try heating up the glue that is left over and then use a piece of packing tape to tack it up. Not sure if it will work or not but it surely won't hurt anything.

A little warm water,(not hot)and a little dawn dish soap mixed with the water in a bowl. Then take a soft tooth brush lightly scrub the area, the adhesive will desolve, then take a dry towel lightly wipe the area. Then allow the area to dry, and brush the area. If not your satisfaction repeat the process.

Residue

Take a clean cotton cloth, and put some 'Goop be gone' on it. It will take it off, that's what the stuff is made for.

What if he uses the goop be gone an it leaves a slightly darker stain in spot area. Then wouldn't he have to remove cloth an send it to the Dry
Cleaners. Looks like its all getting pretty complicated to me. Why not just replace the dot. We all know how expensive drycleaning can be!

spots on felt

I was cleaning my BILLIARD balls and got some of the cleaner on the table, the cleaner came with the pro billiard balls. It left a couple of spots on the cloth, any idea on how to get those spots off my simonis. I tried that cleaner they sell at DCC but did not take it out, don't know what else to do. Need some help.
