Pool shoes

I think they are a good idea.

Why do you think it might be a good idea?

What would you want a pool shoe to do that some other kind of shoe does not already do ?
I actually designed (okay, concepted) a shoe for pool. Totally informally, but as a fun exercise with a major shoe manufacturer customer. I concentrated on the reinforcement of toe and ball area for repetitive stretched shots and such. Couple other silly things. I wish I could find that project.

I could use a good pair of shoes to shot pool in.
I want them to be comfortable and feel like i’m playing in my sox.
If Predator makes them I’ll buy them as long as they downplay the logo.

I have a 1/2 dozen pairs of Sketchers.
The room I play in has hard wood floors.
Only one pair has enough grip to keep my foot planted when I stretch.
So yeah I have a pair of pool shoes.

Well if it’s got a grippy sole that would be useful in one place I play. I always feel like my feet are about to slip out from under.

My normals kicks don’t grip well and they won’t let me go barefoot

Can we add a removable extension to the sole for when we have to lean over the table and still touch the floor ?

Thats thread hijacking and belongs in future innovations to pool technology thread.

Should stools be allowed for shorter players?
The height difference of Dennis Orcullo and Neils Feijen is a factor with no statistics. Do shot options by shorter players limit their game?

Not if they're smart enough to learn the bridge.
Having the higher ground can be advantageous.

Not being smart enough is a serious barrier. It sounds better to call it less experienced.

Well if they're good enough to be on our radar, they probably are smart enough to use a bridge. So... no disadvantage.
Do you support having a step available for shorter players? Mainly Filipinos.
