SS 360 Shaft Review and Comparison to Z2 and Pro X

Received an email yesterday from Seyberts telling me there was an error on their website and the shaft is not in stock. 4-6 week lead time. I heard that same story last year when I tried to purchase it. So it looks like no ss360/2 shaft for me.

Blessing in disguise.
Better go with one of the major manufacturers.
That way if something happens to the shaft you can just order a new one and you're never more than a few days away from a new one.
Not months.
Trying to get something repaired from Bob is a living nightmare.

I think it's not fair to Bob to diss his work the way you do. He is (in my opinion) fantastic, his shafts are bombastic and I have never heard anything bad about his butts as well (to the contrary a couple of very very good reviews). So, you had some kind of bad experience with his equipment (however can not imagine how that could happen) and I'm sorry for that. And you stated that more than once. My experience with him is just the opposite. I got a couple of great SS shafts and I'm perfectly positive the new order including the butt will be the same. I have to say that I've bugged Bob via email quite a bit in the last year :D (I'm kinda perfectionist, fanatic and very unpatient at the same time) and Bob answered my emails almost instantly (sometimes it took a day or two, one can understand he is very busy, especially after getting a deal with Seyberts) and in very professional and at the same time friendly way. So, just the best from my side. I'm now officialy his fan:D When I get my cue I will most likely post a review and some pics...

Best,
M.

Your experience vs. mine is all it is. I'm happy to tell people my experience whether it's a good one or a bad one.
I had terrible experience when I was dealing with Bob. I ordered three of this shafts for various different cues plus I ordered one complete cue with a gen 2 360 shaft.
The cue is simply bad, his workmanship on the cue is inferior.
The joint between the grip section and forearm and and grip section and butt sleeve are uneven and in bad shape. You can clearly feel the edges. Plus the joint of the butt and shaft is also uneven and one side of the circular joint is even the other is clearly significantly wider.
The cue arrived waaayyyy past the due date he gave me and at one point he told me he had been training some guy to make cues and shafts in his shop.
After finally getting his cue and trying to get a hold him after the fact, it was such a nightmare that I simply gave up.
That's just my experience.
Had my experience been positive I would have been equally willing to share it. I know several other people who have had similar experience with him.

Really, first I have heard that you have a problem with the cue. A name would help so I know who this is and what cue. If you have a problem with the cue email me, send the cue back and I will refinish it if that is what it needs. Dissing me online without contacting me is a bit out of line. Hard to get a hold of me... yes, I am busy working 7 days a week and have little time to hold hands but stand behind everything I do.

Cmon Bob no matter what you do there will always be a "problem" :)

Keep up good work!

Yes, there will be and I will keep trying to address them. I could spend 2 hours on the phone every day at this point. I get many emails from some customers, over 60 from some. Instead I choose to spend most of that time in the shop. If anyone wishes to contact me they can text me at 5093929015. I have been behind for months and made no secret of that. Shafts are about 8 weeks out, cues about 10-12 months. No cue goes out the door with rings you can feel, if it has a problem contact me, send it back, I will fix it, return it along with your shipping costs. But you don't get to keep me on the phone or computer for hours and get your work done faster. I am a one man shop for the most part, please don't expect me to spend more time answering questions than working in the shop.
