St. Petersburg pool halls

I am going to the St. Pete, FL area on travel for work and upon my return will be playing in the Indiana BCA State and need to play while I am in St. Pete.

Does anyone know of a good place to play in the area?

I will be playing on 7 ft diamonds in the BCA state with tour blue Simonis so preferably if there is a place close to the St. Pete area that has these then let me know. Otherwise just let me know of a good place to play.

wbweld0...I'm down here (St. Pete/Clearwater area) for the rest of the month. We should get together and play some, so I can see how you've progressed! Give me a call... For poolrooms in St. Pete, someone else will help you. Cap't Hook posts here, and he lives in St. Pete. Several other posters live in the area. I've played with Cap't Hook at the Flamingo Bar, which has a nice 9' GC, with Simonis.

Scott...that would be great. I need a good practice partner. I will call you upon my arrival and we can setup a time/place to play.

If anyone else that lives in the area would be interested in playing then I would welcome the strong competition due to preparing for the state.
 
I'm on the other side of the bridge in Tampa. I don't know alot about the rooms on that side. I think Park Place is over in Clearwater, and further up in Palm Harbor is Strokers. I'm sure there are a couple other rooms right in St. Pete though.
 
Here is a list of places that host the APA in south Pinellas County (st. pete area). I have been to a few but most of them I have not been to so I don't know what kind of equipment they have. But with the list is the addresses and phone numbers...

I'm sure some of them are just bars but there are quite a few pool halls down there.

Of course of you want to drive north there are a lot of other pool halls north of St. Pete (that I'm more familiar with.
 
St Pete

There is a room on St Pete beach called stix. there are many rooms to the north in clearwater. There is Strokers, family billiards , corner pocket. crooked cue, and park place. Just over the water in tampa there is another Strokers that has Diamond 7ft and 2 diamond 9ft . That is where I play if u wanna come over that way and hit some balls.

Sounds great!!! Thanks for the info...I will play some at the Strokers on the Diamond 7 fters. PM me your name and number and I will give you a call and see what nights you will be there. Are there any tournaments there any nights or anywhere in the area that are played on bar tables?

Is the 7ft Diamond new to Strokers 2... i was there 2 weeks ago and they only had 9fters. Do they still have the 5x10 snooker table? I'll find out tonight if I don't hear back from ya

I think there is a 7fter towards the very back, not positive though and yeah the snooker table is still there.

How many 7-footers does Strokers 2 have and do they have tournaments on them ? Thank you. Johnnyt

I just asked Jose... he only has one there, I'm pretty sure they don't have any tournaments on it. :D

I do remember it now, it's a coin op. Diamond 7fter in the back by the bathrooms and dart boards.
 
Hammerheads about 30 min north of st pete has about 12 7ft diamonds and about the same amount of 9ft diamonds.It is on us 19 about 2 mile south of 54 on the righthand side if your traveling north from st pete.There number is 727-939-9494
 
Strokers 2

There is only 1 7ft table there. We do have a 9 ball tourny every saturday which i host. Cheap entry starts at 2 pm money added..... I work the desk and kitchen at strokers 2 . If you stop by say hi Im Justin P.
