i was wondering if anyone has done a stacked leather wrap by themselves? if so, how did you do it and how did it turn out? i could just send it to predator or something but i think it would be fun to learn.

Tiger cues used to have a video on how they are done, but I went to their website & couldn't find it? Anyway, looked to me like having a lathe to pull it off would be manadatory.

If you search UTube, the Tiger stack wrap is on there but not in entirety.

It will give you an idea of how it is done. Search for Tiger products for a start.

A lathe will make it so much easier but Chris Hightower mentioned that there were people out there before that could do them by hand.

You will have a lot of sanding to do which is easier using a lathe but where there is a will, there is a way.

The initial part of cutting the wrap and fitting it to the edge of the wrap groove, the applying of the contact cement and the final cut to the end edge of the wrap groove can be done without a lathe. Some supports made of 2 x 4s with a support groove in them would help you work at it better.

You could whip up something to that nature quickly.

If you are willing to do the sanding by hand without a lathe, then give it a try. Its not impossible. Just a tad more difficult.

Watch the vid and see what you think.

Here is the short version for you.

Tony does a great job. Absolutely beautiful.

A team mate did his own and it looks as good as the one on mine that the man from Tiger did in 2000 at the BCA Nationals.

I recommend Ryan at Muellers. He did a great job on my collector cue.

i seen hand job stack leather wraps that are amazing, i got ZERO shot at being able to do it, i have no clue how its done-but i'm positive it can be done by hand.

Stack leather wraps are hard to do properly by just anybody.
Anyone can do it,but there's a nack to doing it flawless.
Take it to a pro if its a cue you value.
