The biggest problem is the end mass which will create massive deflection unless it is sleeved instead of solid.

The Snapshot guy revised his design years ago because of that.

Even still, metal ferrules fly in the face of modern thinking and techniques in pool.

And the shafts rarely are larger than 9mm in the pros. Not much end mass to worry about.
That’s true, but the OP is talking about a 13mm shaft to my knowledge, not 9mm.
