By my calculation, they have about a 40% advantage overall. That is, if people bet in a pattern that justifies the listed odds, Stan James keeps about 40% of the total bet, but they have a problem if most betters can find the best horses at these odds and bet them up. I assume Stan James will adjust the odds as new bets come in.TheOne said:to be honest these outright bets are poor value, just too many decent players and low odds at the sharp end....

I compile these odds for Stan James,I love reading these threads
and it also helps me in my job,I openly admit to not knowing
as much as probably most of you about 9 ball,8 ball but what
I do understand it how to run a book,In an earlier post someone
commented why Hohmann isn't favorite,I purely think he's not going
to win 2 IPT events on the spin,so I've gone out to lay him and I have.
I sponsor Marcus Chamat and he's a good friend of mine and he also
helps with the pricing of such events.

Why is Mike Z listed at 500 to 1 and Keith is 250 to 1 when Mike beat Keith straight up?
You'd think they would at least be even according to the IPT standings, which they very obviously did not go off of.
And why do they have commas between their first and last names?![]()

for the multi million pound company for 12 years and there is
no way that a winner does not get paid. However in the last
few months due to the US gambling laws,SJ are now stopping
clients with a US postal address form betting with us.This
is purely a safety net on SJ's part.
And on Hohmann's chances I was purely putting my opinion
over that I dont think he'll win 2 on the spin,I could well be
very wrong, and if I am then we'll lose qute a few pounds.

WHen he got to Texas, He was arrested by US Officials for the gambling site and thrown in jail. He may still be in Jail. This marked a clear change in the landscape and was the reason for the SJ momentary glitch with Tanner. If anyone should be told to shove it, it's the US authorites IMHO.
