I have decided to suspend my self-imposed "time out" from posting here to comment on the two day, 19 hour session I just took with Stan that included his Foundation Course and his BCA Recognized Instructor prep session...which I am proud to say that I passed!
Stan is a SUPER nice guy...a teacher by profession and is possessed of a MOUNTAIN of knowledge and experience in playing and teaching all of the major pool games.
I have been lucky enough to have studied with several world class and world champion players/instructors and won't get in to suggesting that one is any better than the other...but I can say, without hesitation, that some of what Stan teaches is unique and ALL of what he teaches is accomplished in a manner that is unsurpassed by any other instruction I have received.
While I was there, a friend called me who didn't know I was taking the session but when I told him where I was and what I was doing, he passed on to me that a mutual friend who is a TOP road player who you all know of, had recently trained with Stan and who reported to my friend that he had learned more in his session with Stan than from anyone else in his entire pool career.
And that from a VERY strong player who happened to have WON the very next tournament he entered after his session with Stan and who credited that win to him.
There is nothing that I can say from my lowly perspective that could come close to the above compliment paid to Stan from a young man who KNOWS what he is talking about...so I will conclude merely by saying that players of ANY level...including champions...would benefit, without question, from spending time with Stan.
Regards,
Jim
