Starrett Level weirdness.

I have a Starrett No. 98 level that I use in my perpetual quest to level my 9 foot Diamond ProAm. I noticed that if I touch the glass at all the bubble would move slightly and stay there. If I rub the glass with my finger in one direction, the bubble will move in the same direction over to the end and stay there. The only way to get it back right again is to set it on the stainless steel sink in the kitchen.

It must be sensitive to static electricity and grounding it sets it tight again. Weird.

This may shock you:grin: but water can't conduct static electricity:p but the slightest pressure on the level will in fact, change it's readings:wink:
