Starting treatment on Monday

I hope it didn't come across the wrong way. I wasn't doubting the mans angling abilities. As a fisherman, he knows the old adage of "pics or it didn't happen" !
As a coastal angler myself, I love seeing pics of caught fish, and tarpon are a coveted catch. They are one of many on my bucket list of fish to catch as well!

All good. Fisherman lie as much as pool players, so a fishing pool player is really full of shite. We got two over 200 this year. Maybe mike can show me how to post pictures from my phone when I get back from Myrtle beach.

No idea, Sparky, but Kyle can do it in @ 10 seconds. :yeah:

First day of the 2nd week. Chemo and radiation both today. Left home at 730am and got home at 8pm. Lonnngggg day. First week was good. Felt sick for last 4 days or so but never threw up ( biiiggggggg improvement over 07. Lost breakfast lunch AND dinner hundreds of times over 3 months ) so that was great. Feel fairly well. So 5 more weeks ( counting this one ) of radiation 5 days a week and 5 more sessions of chemo for a total of 7. So far, so good... now if I can just get my break working for me, I'll be stickin' the big C up before it's all over.

:yeah:

Damn skippy!!

I'm cancer free 9 years in July. This has given me a renewal on life. I wish you the same!

The attitude was everything for me.

I'm very sorry to hear that and you have my deepest sympathies. Losing one's mother is never easy, on any level. Mine has been gone since 91. She died in my bedroom 2 days after I brought her home from the nursing facility. Barely a week goes by, after almost 30 years, that I do not think about her. And you've nothing for which to apologize as you have not jacked the thread at all. Many have posted their own experiences here. And this is not about me, it's really about everyone who has given me many kind words of encouragement and have asked me here and in private for updates as I work my way through this. Those updates are the only reason I started his thread to begin with. So, again, your comments are both welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks. I hear it does get easier but only time will tell. I wish you well with your treatments. So far it seems things are going ok!

Just watch, Michael.. you'll be playing better when you get back to
the table!

Big C can have the 3 and out.. and better post :grin-square:

Dunno bout the 3, but... I like the last 4 at LEAST! But that's only after I bust him at even, and then adjust each time he hits the ATM.

I saw Buddy give a pretty sporty shortstop in Tampa @ 80 or so the 2 and ROBBED him. Not even CLOSE.

Another long day today, left home at 730am, got back at 815pm. 2 Dr. appts, blood drawn, lab results, radiation, then 5 hours of chemo. Radiation the rest of the week with a fluids infusion tomorrow and again Wednesday. Found out today I have to have a feeding tube, no way around it. I've lost 9 lbs in a week. The most they "accept" is 2. So... one more thing to get over the bump on... Don't feel too bad right now, but that's normal this soon after the chemo. The nausea ( *still* haven't thrown up at all yet but sure have felt like I *wanted* to ) has been hitting pretty much full-bore by Thursday and lasts the rest of the week until I get chemo ( with 3 day anti-nausea in the i.v. ) the following Monday.

This s**t sucks. I highly recommend anyone who smokes to stop. Sure wish I had have 45 years ago ( or just never started even better ), instead of a year and a half ago.

Alrighty then... that's the update for those who asked me to keep them updated. For everyone else, my apologies for the graphic details.
