Lets design a State vs. State challenge where 5 of the best players from each state battle for the honor of there State. Example= Ohio vs. Florida.

World Pool.com will film each match and hopefully through sponsorships we can generate alot of money for the players.

Give me some feedback ?

would be interesting if there was a limit on the number of pros...so we could see some good lesser known players

Awesome idea but I think some states are really lopsided compared to others.
An off-shoot could be by region, i.e. Northeast, Southeast, Mid-West etc...

Either way I would tune in.

California should be a top contender. Especially if the game is One Pocket

But, why not mix it up... One Pocket, 14.1, 9 and 8 ball and all played on 9 footers?

Efren lives in LA, Right?

That's called the Valley State Championships.
No offense, I respect all you guys.
But this is to reward and acknowledge all the hard work of the PROS in your States.
Practice hard and you'll be rewarded. For a change!!!!!!

I agree.
But should we promote foreign players living in the states or our own AMERICANS and there States they grew up in.

Even with miss matches , the best players from there states get noticed looked up to. great exposure.

With regions, politics come into play and players get overlooked.

I am pretty sure Texas would have the proverbial nuts in this one!

LMAO........especially if they had a tournament just for the "unknowns". And STONECOLD that eliminates you..........because you are known around the WORLD!

Hello, just curious as to how one(or who) would decide who is the top "5" of ones state, especially a state with no pro's(would this be a challenge limited to pro's?).
How much are you thinking for the entry fees and where would these challenge match take place? all at around the same time or over the course of months?

One match per month so people can look forward to it .
The best player in your State should be the captain so you respect and look up to him for advice. he picks if not enough pros, or rooms sponsor qualifiers with long races to determine the best players in your State.
The qualifying room should be your home court for the challenge matches and put up the most money.

Efren lives in the Phillipines but Los Angeles alone has Parica, Ernesto, Morro, Eberle, and Tang just to name a few of the pros.

Maybe have tournaments to decide who gets to go, maybe say 5 tournaments. North, East, West, and South in each state and then a final tournament from say the top ten of each of those. The Top five from the final get to go national.

Maybe the organization picks a captain for each state and he selects the
team. Each team could include one female. This would give spectators
a bathroom break (j/k).

I dont think that there would be 50 competitive states and how do you decide where a player lives. Afterall the bills are in their gf's name.

I like the concept. Almost like the North South deal.

A newer format with a Presidents or Walkers Cup type feel.
Keep a running total of wins and loss on a leaderboard.
4 days of play with different games.
There could be an individual winner and a team winner.
Day 1
8 ball or nine ball
onepocket
straight pool
8 or 9 ball

Each player plays each of the other 5 in each discipline.
Captains determine order. Each player could win 5 matches
each day.

I dont really know how long the straight pool matches or the one pocket would take. The 8 ball and 9 ball should be no trouble time wise.

To keep a level playing field you'd need a salary cap...around $100 should do the trick :p

But seriously...good luck!
