Here are some results from the Dennis Orcollo vs. Shane Van Boening "Sharks" 9-Ball match played in Quezon City, Philippines on September 22-24, 2022. Free streaming was provided on Facebook and YouTube.

This match was a race to 75 game wins played over 3 days. Van Boening won the hill/hill match. He had a good lead after two days, but Orcollo made up the deficit on Day 3 and it was tied at 72, 73, and 74 apiece. The scoring for each day (Van Boening's score first):
Day 1 -- 25 - 23​
Day 2 -- 25 - 17 (2-day total 50 - 40)​
Day 3 -- 25 - 34​
Total -- 75 - 74​

Conditions -- The conditions for this event included:
- 9-foot Brunswick Gold Crown IV table with 4½" corner pockets;​
- Simonis 860 shark grey cloth;​
- Aramith Tournament Black balls with a black-spots cue ball;​
- Turtle racking template;​
- referee racks, with the 9-ball on the foot spot and the 2-ball at the back of the rack;​
- alternate breaks from a break box 1 diamond wide to each side of center;​
- all slop counts;​
- foul on all balls;​
- jump cues allowed;​
- 30-second shot clock with one 10-second extension per player per game; and​
- lag for opening break on Day 1 (won by Orcollo).​

■ Van Boening broke 74 times -- successful 63 times (resulting in 46 game wins and 17 losses), 8 fouls (all losses), and 3 dry (all losses).

■ Orcollo broke 75 times -- successful 62 times (resulting in 44 game wins and 18 losses), 4 fouls (1 win and 3 losses), and 9 dry (1 win and 8 losses).

From my viewpoint, SVB was swingin' it, allot quicker than in normal match play.
He never shoots from shot to shot THAT fast, especially on lower percentage shots.... but he's gettin' ready for US Open.

If someone wants to give me great odds at winning the Open this year, speak up. You can have he field, I'll take Shane.

There was one shot that really stuck out at the end of play.
I think the score was 74-73 D.O., it was the shot on the 1 ball into the 4 after the break.
Looking at the given camera angle for that shot, it appeared he might go for combo on the 4, but that was very difficult, and the cue ball needed inside spin to get back too the 1.
He didn't do that.
Instead he played the one dead into the 4, parking the 1, whitey came off the long rail back towards him and hooked D.O.
What ensued was Dennis kicking two rails into the 1, but he ''Just'' missed it.
BIH SVB and then I think the next rack ended the session.
Sad the announcers NEVER picked up, or highlighted that SHOT.
