Stephen Hendry playing 9-ball

he cues so beautifully as always, without doubt the best snooker player. he doesn't like the game at all however so you won't ever see much else of him playing. somewhat ironically it's probably why he plays so well in these clips, he's just completely relaxed and free stroking.
 
A phenomenal talent with a cue. His potting accuracy is like Allison Fisher on steroids.

Hendry is the best player to ever lift a cue ANY CUE SPORT. If he had decided he wanted to live in the USA about 20 years ago the history books would look a lot different now. Best ever-- not even close. Watching this guy practice is one of the most humbling things I ever did. I have practiced with guys like Mika and Ralf before but they are nowhere near Hendry. He is the only one who makes you feel you are not even playing the same game. I practiced with him in 1990 for about 2 hours and before that I thought I could hang with almost anybody, but even though I had already won 3 Nationals and hit over 500 centuries at the time I just could not believe somebody could play like he was game after game. At his peak he was on a different planet to everybody else. Monster

He shows promise, and if he adopted a sound stance, I think he could be a champion.

Well, yes, but you'll have to admit that the kid stands goofy-footed. I suspect that part of his problem is that pool tables are lower than snooker tables. It would be interesting to see if he used a wider stance after practicing pool for a year or two.

This is true about the table heights and the way he is standing is pretty much the way every snooker player stands when they are not used to the difference. The funny thing is Karen used to have a real square stance back in the day and the last time I played her pool she looked kinda funny like she was trying to stand like a pool player but because of all her years playing snooker and the fact that she is quite tall her body just wouldn't let her. Did you notice he was playing with a snooker cue? He really does not like to play pool but him making balls on a pool table is about as tough as the rest of us throwing rocks into the ocean.

Wow Stephen Hendry practicing pool for a year or two. I would love to see the end result of that! Imagine Drago or Peach woke up one day and discovered they were twice as good as they were the day before. Hendry would probably still roast them.

Roy I think you are the first person from Norway to ever say the word Oklahoma! Norway is truly a beautiful country you should throw some pictures on here.
