I can get his number from a friend. He will not return phone calls to AZ's the Diesel and owes him a cue that was supposed to be done 6 months ago from a sour deal that went down 4 years ago. I would stay clear of him. He is a straight up thief and sorry Pile.O.S. I haven't had time with work to post the long detailed screenshots of the promises about the cue from 6 months ago but just as soon as I have time to I am going to warn all of AZ of his B.S. Here is the thread around the time Jeff actually talked to Steve. Promises and promises of having the cue in several months and then Steve just started screening the call and not even answering. Talk about customer service, lol. Meanwhile he has sent numerous cues to Superior cues and Bama cues along with several other dealers.

The deal was he gave Steve 2 cheap cues (a Hopkins K-inlaid Richard Black that was worth $600 and Scruggs true sneaky all beat up) for 3 of Steve's customs. 3 cues have been sent and already sold by your pal.

I disagree.
Steve and (Ideologist) have been nothing but respectable gentleman while I was going through the motions of buying a cue. My only complaint would be that Steve is bad with modern technology (cell phones, email) but that's all taken care of by Ideologist
His LD shafts play fantastic, and I recommend getting a cue made by him.
If you still want his contact info I can PM it to you, or you can PM Ideologist and he can take care of the order as well.

Why don't you relay the message for Steve KLAPP to be a MAN and call JEFF Mclamb and pay the cue he owes and not screen his calls and not pick up when he sees the 910 area code number? Why won't he answer a phone call to someone he owes? He is putting out cue after cue after cue and won't even answer his cell phone. What a Damn joke, lol.

Buddy it is not difficult modern rocket science technology to pick up a phone and/or make a phone call. So good try with the modern technology we are the only ones that can contact him but he is honest. It's a real small world and and here we are 2015 on a message board talking because some sorry POS chooses not To do what is right and make excuses and send people in to defend him. Since both of you are so eager to take up for Steve and are in touch with him tell him to call Jeff Mclamb TODAY at 910-214-5238 since he will not answer the phone when Jeff calls. I guess he will never get that phone call because he is in the wrong. I am sure he gets on here daily and you both told him about the post. So, is he gonna make that phone call today? Tell him to call Jeff, he has his phone on him today. I don't want to bother Martin or Joe with thisn but maybe I should go that route and them lecture Steve and tell him he needs to make it right becauseof the reflection. Not sure what to do, but Steve will not answer a phone call or call back.

I wasn't defending him, I said my experience with Steve was great except for the communication aspect of things which is taken care of by Ideologist. I'm just guessing here but I doubt he puts names to numbers in his phone because every time I called he needed a reminder of who he was talking to.
Again, I'm only explaining my experience with Steve... and it was beyond good. I got a jump cue that matched the player he made me for free. If a mistake was made then he was on top of things to make it right.
By the way: Reading your last post I see how completely idiotic you are. Get off your high horse because I'm not in frequent contact with him except for when he made my cue, and I'm only outlining my experience dealing with him. I'm not a business associate, just a customer.

No problem man. I am glad you had a good experience with him. I had a few good ones with him also. Jeff did also with the refinishes. I wasn't trying to single you out. It is just so frustrating because Steve won't get on here because he knows he is in the wrong and won't answer calls. I do think he knows Jeffs number because they have had several conversations on the last cue when I put the comments in the thread linked. He was all gun-ho to make it right. Now 8 months later and not a thing from him but lies and promises. He promised several months and told Jeff just enough satisfy him and buy some More time. I own my own business and I call back every number I have received a call from. It's business. And you can bet if I owed someone something, I am going to remember that first and try to make that right. I guess we will see if Steve Klapp can figure out how to dial The 10 numbers listed above and wait for Jeff to pick up the phone like we are told he is going to do today. We shall see.

One mistake should not tarnish his reputation. This is my second refinish with Steve and so far I am 100% satisfied. I was far too concerned when I saw the original post. Azers please don't let this sway you from doing business with Steve. He ordinarily does really good work and has provided me with good customer service. <br />

I will say this...and i have said it before. The way that most cuemakers do business is crazy. Why would you start a huge list of custom orders while running a 1 or two man shop. I agree with doing repairs to keep the bills paid but honestly i would never do any custom work. I would put out a line of cues every couple of months. Hundreds of IOUs are really hard to keep up with. And you would not have the massive pressure of this long list on you while making cues.
