Anyone know anything about Lomax Custom Jump Break Cues? I saw their add in Inside Pool. Looks like a really nice cue. Just wondered if anyone has any feedback. How do they compare to BK2 and XBreaker etc....

Thanks guys!!!!

I know Shawn Putnam had one a yr ago. I haven't talked to him much since then so I don't know if he's still using it or not. He rarely gets online but you could still post the question in his forum section because he won't see it here by the time he signs on again.

I know Steve is a pretty good guy.... We've talked a few times at different tournaments and I've yet to ever hear anything bad about him.

I am in the market for one of Lomax's Jump Break Cues. Unfortunately I have to come up with some money for a stick I ordered three years ago which is do to be in my hands shortly. I have heard that he makes a VERY fine break jump cue.

Just placed my order too. Talked to him on the phone. He seems like a super guy!!! I was impressed with his knowlege of cuemaking with regards to what a player wants.

Steve is great guy

I know Steve for over 30 years and think the world of him and intend on getting one of his jump cues at the DCC this year. Steve is originally from the New Orleans area, a good player, and even better guy..:p :D :p

Steve Lomax

I know Steve very well, and he is a good cuemaker and a good person to boot! He has done several cues for me and all with zero problems I live in Atlanta and he works many of the Mr Cues II tournys here where I play APA! Having said all of that I do not use a jump cue but he has worked on my classic D16 McDermott and 2 different Jacobys redoing shafts Plus I have sent my team mates and friends to him all with satisfaction! :)

for the money they are unbeatable in my onpinion.........if i couldnt make my own cues i would break and jump with one of his..............

steve lomax cues

Well i dont know where to began, as steve&sherry have been so nice to me[old man stick]but he made me amatching set when he first started. and a j/b and shooting cue they but everybody in awe when i show them, he really takes PRIDE in his work, and steve that was a long ride back from the DCC this year . god bless you and sherry. your friend forever STICK & WANDA:D :D :D

They rock, as good or better than any other Break Jump cue on the market. I personally will bet $500 that no other maker can outperform the Lomax Bunjee. In a valid set of test shots the best any other brand will be able to do is to be even in performance. This applies to EVERY brand made by ANY COMPANY or PERSON depite anything they CLAIM to the contrary.

My $500 is on the table. Any takers?

I use an improved Fury Jump Breaker. It is pretty sporty. I have a Lomax Bunjee X-Pro as well. Both are real close and I'd give the Lomax the edge. However for $179 the Fury is for the budget conscious.

That's how I feel about them. Oh, and Steve Lomax is one HELL of FINE person as well.

Anthony, I've not personally tried his cues, but I've heard good things.

I just purchased a hammerhead j/b cue and LOVE IT. For $125 you cannot beat those cues. I consider it to be better than the BK2 and the Sledgehammer.

Lomax Qs

I have known Steve for about 3 years. He is a completely outstanding and trustworthy guy. I got a Q from him about a year ago and he did a truly great job. If I needed a jump Q and had the $$, I'd definately go for it. Steve has a booth at the Super Billiard's Expo next month at Valley Forge, PA if u are in the area and want to speak with him.

Lomax Cues Or Repair

I am currently an owner of a Custom Sledgehammer by Mike Gulyassy and I snapped the shaft in two. I didnt even send it back to Mike Gulyassy and get it fixed under the warranty he offers on his cues, IT WENT TO LOMAX'S. I told Lomax I wanted something better than that shaft and he said DONE. I get it back Saturday at a Tournament I am playing in and I cant wait. Highly recommend anything Lomax builds or puts his hands on.

THANKS STEVE, YOU THE MAN

He also makes an awesome Jump Cue! Everyone should have one in their luggage case. Get one now!

Wow! Your Gulyassy shaft snapped in two!!! How did that happen? Was the shaft really skinny or something?

Steve is a good guy, he also does very nice leather/cork wrap.
