In the winners bracket at the Viking Tour event in Athens, GA Stevie Moore and Landon Shuffett are tied at 5-5.

Landon has really impressed the crowd here at the Rail. He is constantly getting applauded for his abilities. I have never seen anything like it before.

No matter what happens, it has been a real pleasure having Landon at the event.

Way to go Landen, I know it sounds kinda crazy, but it wouldn't suprise me if Landen won the tournament, because he's definitely got the ability to :)

Thanks for the update Mike, keep 'em coming. This would be a very big upset if Landon won this match and a bigger victory for him than the one over Earl as Stevie is arguably hitting the ball better than Earl right now (although beating Earl is always an accomplishment for any player)

Unfortunately, Landon lost to Stevie 7-5 but Landon did put up a great fight.

Also, Congrats to Stevie for beating a great player.

Anyway, Landon whent on to win his next match against Angelo Innessa 7-2.

Right now landon is playing in the Quarter Finals against Bruce Berrong.

In the finals of the Winners are Stevie Moore -vs- Larry Nevel

Yep, that's him but I thought he was from upstate NY ?

Also, the fuull reslts will be on the front page of AZ and IP.

It's great to see both these players do well. Landon's been playing great and regardless of the outcome of this tournament he has a ton of opportunities ahead of him. Always great to see Stevie Moore do well though.
 
Anyone that hasnt seen Landon play is really missing out. The last time I saw him play he was 7 yrs old and could barley reach over the table. His mechanics and thought process while playing are flawless. Also, congrats to Mr. Shuffett, not only is he a great player himself, but and incredible teacher as well.

Mike, yea I'm not sure where his hometown is exactly but he goes to school in PA. He was supposed to go to Collegiate Nationals later in July but I think his school wouldn't pay for him. He's a pretty strong player at the collegiate level at least.
