At the GREAT SOUTHERN 8-BALL TOUR event at THE POOL ROOM in Duluth, GA.

Louis Ulrich won the winners bracket and Stevie Moore won the 1-loss side.

Any speculation on what the odds are of Stevie beating Louis 2 X in the finals to win the event ?

Double dipping Louis is a tough feat but on the flip side, I know how Stevie can really bring it when need be and he's one person I would say has it in him to do it.... I don't think anyone here has the nuts so if anyone has a bet on it, they're definitely gambling. ;)

The final match was won by Stevie. I don't know if there were any real errors by either player in the final set ... whoever made a ball on the break won the game.

They are both great players and great people, and it was an exciting finish. It was hill-hill and Louis didn't make a ball on the break and Stevie had to come with it to run out a relatively tough rack.

Congrats to both!

First & foremost.... who gave you this info?? LOL, cause I know you weren't sitting there watching it! :D :D

I'm happy for both of the guys.... they both obviously played jam up to get to the finals. Thanks for the update. ;)

Double Dipped Dammit!

If there's nothing better than double dipping your opponent in the finals then I guess there's nothing worse than being double dipped! Oh well. I played about as well as I could and things just didn't go my way. Stevie played great the whole tourney and really came with it in our match.

Thanks to all who were pulling for me. :)

It happens to best! At least it was to a good player and not some yahoo that got lucky rolls while you played badly. :p

We still luv ya around here. ;)

I was pulling for you. You'll get em next time. You always have been one of my favorites to watch.

It was good talking to you last week.

Congrats Louis, you had to play well to get there but sometimes the balls just don't let you win. If I had known this was going on, you'd have had another friend rooting for you. Peace, John.

I saw the final match. Or part of it. None could seem to catch a break on well the break. I saw 7 matches and I don't recall seeing a ball drop once. The one time it did the cue ball also fell.

It was a good match. The real competition though was finding a parking place.

I stopped by Saturday and for a short time Sunday.Anyways I had a good time watching these champions battle it out. Thanks Pool Room for hosting another good turnament. My favorite moment of the turnament Lui bent down to take a shot and got hit in the head by some water. He didn't miss a beat he didn't through down or pitch a fit he wiped and went on with the match.I can only wonder what would have happend if that water had hit Earl Strickland.

Man, you are really disappointing me. 1st place last tournament and 2nd place this tournament. You are going downhill! Wassup wit 'chu?

Great tournament, Louis!

I know how good you had to play to get to the finals! It's great to see you playing good... I also know how good Stevie can play.
Stay in pouch and it's only a matter of time before things go your away,
Pablo :D

How did he get hit in the head with water? Do you mean a bottle water? and did someone throw it? Would you mind explaining what you are talking about?
