You the man Stevie.......... :D Beatle.........
Congratulations, Stevie. He said a few days ago that he wasn't playing that well  .

It's good to see a great guy come out on top.

Hey Beatle.........We will have to put this one on the calendar next year. I went down Saturday and Sunday and it was one of the best tournaments I have ever attended. John, Dianne, and the staff were great. And Janis ran a great tournament.

Stevie Moore was definitely on last night - great to watch him play. Also, well worth the trip to visit the new Pool Room - real classy place.

Steve Moore?

Is this the same guy that Justin Bergman defeated in the finals for the big tournament down south somewhere in the finals?

It was at the big tournament in Memphis a couple of months back.

If you counted all the big tournaments that come to Atlanta that Stevie has won, I would say in the Atlanta area he is a BIG household name.

Thanks John - I'm guilty of living only 40 minutes away, but so much closer to your other Pool Room.

Sad but glad!

CONGRATULATIONS to Stevie; you played AWESOME!!! Thanks to everyone who attended and supported our event this week. It's sad that it's over, but we all need to sleep about a week. :o Let's do it again in the near future and if you missed this one, you won't want to miss the next one!!! :D

Congrats Diane

This is Daniel A. Good to see you had a good tournament and I plan to make the next one. As far as Stevie being a known name, everybody from Mississippi to the coast knows just how good Stevie plays. I hope some of the people from the Classic will make it up to Knoxville this weekend for the tournament at Breakers. I'm looking forward to getting down and checking out the place next time you have a tournament. I'm sure Dad will want to come with me as long as I pay for the gas. LOL :D

Way to go Stevie

Hey Beatle,
Sorry you & Pete didn't make it back to this event....you guys missed a "GREAT EVENT"....lots of side action.

I would also like to give:

#1: A "SPECIAL THANKS" to John & Diane (you guys know where I'm coming from).

#2: "A THANKS" to "The Pool Room & all its employees" for hosting this event, the best tournament I've attended.

#3: "A THANKS" to "The Viking Tour" (Mike, Matt & Joey) for operating this event....Great job guys.

#4: "A THANKS" to the Players that gave me helping hand:
1-Pocket Event: L.N. (1st), S.P. (2nd) & C.B. (5th/6th).
8-Ball Event: J.H. (3rd) & J.S. (4th).
9-Ball Event: S.M. (1st) & S.D. (2nd), I also had L.N. & D.B., who finished only 1 spot out of auction money. S.P. did not have a good day in this event.

Foot note: I now own the cue L.N. (Larry Nevel) made & played with to win the 1-Pocket Event & 2nd in the overall at the "Southern Classic I".
Oh,"By the way this cue is "NOT FOR SALE".

p.s.; By the way Diane, I will return to "THE POOL ROOM II". this coming weekend for the new "SEAL TOUR EVENT".

"Have a nice day everyone"
Lamar

Of course, I am a bit biased since he is my close friend and mentor; so of course, I am happy he won and I was not at all surprised. He was playing great at the UPA event the week before with strong wins over many top players including 10-3 over Rodney Morris. It is great to see someone who is not just a great talent but a great person win such a big event.

I really believe he can take it all the way and I think he just might...
;)

BJ Ussery once told me he thinks Stevie is probably the best Amateur player in the country. That is a pretty big compliment coming form the Amateur player of the year for 2004. Glad you had him in the auction Lamar. Hope you came out an overall winner. I bombed out of the tournament in the middle of the field, so I was glad to see your horses ran well.
