well, i can play again. i'd run three racks then the balls would stick together like oprah's thighs in a sauna. on a fourth rack i hit one break-ball hard with lots of follow. it bounced off the rack then spun right back into them but because of the friction on the other balls, it lost its spin and died stuck in the pack. i'm thinking of getting a set of these. any opinions?

You can't go wrong with Aramith Pro's. I play with the TV set, better on video.

That's what I got. The room where I play (Shoreline Billiards) has the TV version on all the table.

But I think you may need new cloth, also.

Anyways:
Good choice of a ball set. I too dislike the Tv set with that pink ball.
Their making a set that looks like Centennials. They really look nice. Have you seen them on Tv?
 
straightman: no haven't seen them. but that TV set has brown balls too! yuck....

there's a first time for everything.... i placed my order through paypal and there was a field for a promotional code. they were already giving me free shipping but i thought that i'd give it a try so i googled it. holy cow, lo and behold i found a 5% discount code. will it actually work? i thought not.... i put the code in and hit "apply" and holy crap, it gave me 5% off! so i got free shipping and 5% off from ozone billiards. i'll have no excuses now....well except for that walmart cue i use. lol....

Sounds like you came out on the good end.
Nice set of pool balls.
The new set that I was telling you about has a black ring around the numbers. There is a commercial on Tv that has been playing a lot on those ESPN matches. It is also showing a cue case where you can put a set of balls in it to take to a pool room etc.
 
i've never seen them. can you up a pic?

after playing for 30 years, this will be my first set of Aramith balls. i have no doubt that those crappy balls stopped many of my runs. i can understand bringing your own balls to the pool hall.

up a pic of that case if you can too please.
